Considering rooting already technically violates most mobile contracts anyway, that should be low on the list of concerns, I'd think...If the device is rooted, this will violate the Google Wallet terms of service.

Those look good BabyBlues. My girlfriend and I just got hooked on their milk chocolate peanut butter cups. They are delicious and have very recently become our new favorite over their S'mores (also incredibly delicious, but after 3 months atop the list, we're sick of them).
The girlfriend hates mint, but I love it so I'll try out the Joe Joe's next![]()

Has anyone asked P3 if Google Wallet installs on his Verizon version? This would actually be a deal breaker for me.
If not, is this something that the states attorney would be interested in, considering Verizon is trying to push ISIS, and from what I've read that service is behind (timeline) Google Wallet.
Perfect timing. Check lickwidravr's post towards the top of the page.Sure could go for a Steven special "just got a note from the source, will edit and post as soon as I get to work." We haven't had anything new and exciting in a while.
I suppose it's possible. Do you get a lot of fradulent charges? I've never had one, personally. Of course, it remains to be seen whether NFC/Google Wallet is secure enough to stop hackers from obtaining peoples' credit card data, I suppose.I agree, but I would hate to have a fraudulent charge on my credit card and not be able to argue it because I violated the TOS.
Who says you have to do that? You have a smartphone+phandroid app=multitasking![]()
If you haven't yet, you should try these mamma jammas. First time I got 'em I darn near ate the whole thing without even trying. Afriggin'dictive.

If you read into Verizon's response to the question about the lack of Google wallet on the Nexus device you could conclude that Big Red does not plan on allowing any phone on their network to run Google wallet.
I take from their wordage that they will only allow their own payment system to be on their phones in the future.
Now..it looks like we can side side step this in the future with the nexus because we can unlock it and load custom ROMs that will enable and include this feature.
I think it is safe to say that if you find an article about anything Android or Nexus and its more than 2 minutes old, it was already posted in this thread.
So apparently, although the Nexus does not support Google Wallet, it is possible to install it on the device and use it.
Google Wallet comes to Samsung Galaxy Nexus (unofficially)
Oh, Verizon.....
EDIT: Ninja'd
Hi Gnexers!
I'm back from Real Life, wherein I stopped by Radio Shack for something. Their marquis sign read "$100 off Verizon smartphones" so I inquired about it. Turns out that promo INCLUDES Nexus!
That may help some folks out here who are tight for cash but still want to play Nexus with us!
So when Nexus hits the streets, there's a choice to be made:
Do I get a Launch Day phone with $50 loyalty discount? Or...
Do I wait till the Shack gets them and get $100 off?
Decisions, decisions...
9-1/2 days to go!
We should have to side step it (which violates Google Wallets TOS). This is anti-competitive behavior imposed on a customer.
But if we won Verizon would have to pay our lawyer fees. Can't disagree with you on that....but VZ will attempt to do this anyway because their lawyers get paid more than ours!

I've never had one, but I know a few people that have. They weren't using NFC to pay for anything, but somehow someone got a hold of their credit card info and charged some expensive items to their card. They were able to argue that the charges were fraudulent and reported it to their credit card company.
I was just noting what the terms of service are. If you root your phone, use Google Wallet and there is an issue, Google will not be obligated to help you because you violated their TOS.
what i find funny about this is that i actually am in the process of clarifying some information that was sent to me which is similar to what you are referring to....the kicker is that.....my actual name is Steven also lol
Like a few have said before...this is no longer a Nexus device. Verizon is taking features of this phone and disabling them and adding their own software (even if it is just a couple of minimalistic apps) to make this phone a Verizon phone. This really rubs me the wrong way.
Nice, thanks for the post. If the Nexus does end getting released for $100 less than the Rezound and Razr, that would probably go a long way towards making it more appealing and competitive, as well as being an olive branch of sorts towards all the irate consumers (i.e. us) who've been waiting on it.But he also remembered how I was asking about the Nexus and said that although they don't have a release date they were going to be selling it at $199.99.
He said that they have some of the accessories in the back and that he expects it to be in a few weeks but he would call me as soon as they have a date for it.
