Entered the Phandroid Contest today...one of the prizes is the Nexus among others for one lucky winner. Who entered?

Well its what I figured. He said he came across an email for a flyer with the 199.99 price tag. He said that I didn't hear it from him.

He also stated that everything is always subject to change on unreleased items so nothing is concrete.

At this point, I don't even care about the release date.

If it doesn't come sometime in the next 4 weeks, I am just going to wait until CES 2012 to see what the 2012 phones look like. CES 2012 starts January 10th.

Regardless if I wait for CES or not, I will probably still get the Nexus. I just want to see what next year's quad core phones will look like, in case any company can convince me to wait.

Given VZW's affinity for Thursdays, that probably would mean 12/15. I'm kind of leaning towards the 15th rather than the 8th, since supposedly the Moto Droid 4 is dropping on 12/8, and 12/15 would still get them the Christmas sales. Then again, VZW is treating the gnex like some POS feature phone while pimping Droid*, so who knows perhaps 12/8 may still happen with a dual launch. I'm thinking more and more it is 12/15 (or later. sigh).

No doubt if demand is high enough developers will get it "fixed." However, a long time ago there were articles written strongly suggesting that users NOT use Google Wallet with custom ROMS, likely because there's a possibility that your information could not be safely guaranteed. I posted months ago about it, so if you search my posts in this forum, the links are there. Just advice, of course...

AMAZING INCREDIBLE MIND BLOWING CONFIRMED UPDATE!!!

I called and talked to a CSR today. He said the phone is due to release 12/8.
I called back and talked to another CSR. She said the phone is due out 12/1.
I called back and talked to another CSR. He said it has been delayed until after the new year.
I called back and talked to another CSR. He said it was CONFIRMED to launch just after Christmas.
I called back and talked to another CSR. She said, "What's a Galaxy Nexus?"


It is becoming increasingly difficult for me to find time to keep up with all the posts here. I generally read 1 out of every 15 or 20 pages. There are simply too many useless posts. However I still look here for the first release of information.

Can we all please stop relaying everything the CSR's tell us? They don't know anything. They won't know anything until after we do. You're wasting your time calling them, but if you have to waste their time and your's, please don't post everything they say, because then you're wasting our time.
 
The phone better be here on the 8th. I'll be leaving the country for two weeks on the 17th, and I sure as hell don't want to wait until January to pick up my Gnex...
