He'd probably rather not "chase" you. Just doing his job.

Yeah, mine has the same thing. The sign-up screen and then 2 people there to insta-harass you once you walk in.

I went in to try out the Rezound and the RAZR and, even though I told them I don't need help, they hounded me and continued to try to tell me all about the phones. I probably could have told them more about them than what they could have told me...

While it may be annoying, they are people who are trying to do thier jobs. Just trying to make some money for thier family, etc. Try to be a little more compassionate and understand that.

A simple "No Thanks" is all it usually takes. After that, if the pestering continues, then take the gloves off. But who knows, I've met some of the most interesting people just by learning to slow down in life and appreciate the small things. This one greeter at Wal-Mart happened to be a Korean War vet who *did* have the most interesting stories.

Just sayin treat everyone with a little respect.

Ahhh this question again! :p Well..back when I first joined I posted a chat I had with a CSR online. Unknown to me, Steven had posted a rule earlier in the thread about not doing that. When he told me not to, I disagreed with him and I was put on probation. :p

Yes, shame, shame on me. I get your implication....BUT NO, he hunts everybody down. A nerd assassin w/ a tablet.


It's obvious people don't want to be hounded 3' inside the front door it's not just me. Literally 3', and it's a big store..........

I think it's just a business decision that VZ sees in its best interests. VZ's business decisions just happen to collide with our general impatience.

Drexel Dragon did PM me with the location. It isn't too far, but too far for tonight. Store is only open to 9:00, and it's almost 8 and I have to give the kids a bath. Hopefully his mom will snap a pic.

However, I will be in the area tomorrow, and if no new info is available, I'll be sure to stop by.

That will NOT be discussed in a thread. Feel free to PM anyone and ask them off line, but not appropriate for open discussion.

It has nothing to do with how good/bad/big/minor the infraction was. We all make mistakes. I've been given infractions on other sites before as well, learned my lesson, and moved on.

Of course he "hunts" everyone down lol. If he was only chasing you then I could sympathize. The nerd part really has nothing to do with it, although it is a cute little anecdote. It probably is obvious people don't want to be hounded. It's obvious to you, obvious to him. The only problem is, it's not obvious to verizon. Anyways, wasn't trying to cast a shadow on anyone, just offering a different perspective. Sorry if there was any confusion :)

Hmmmmmm. Could you clarify what exactly we're not supposed to do? We post all sorts of conversations w/manufacturer and carrier insiders all the time (including Steven's source!), so I don't understand what the issue is.

No joke. I live within a 5 mile radius from 12 Verizon corp stores. I guess I'm lucky, especially when I hear about those who's local store is an hour away.

However, the store that Drexel Dragon mentioned is more like 40 minutes. And I'm alone with the kids right now, so no can do. 5 min wouldn't be a problem to throw the kiddies in the car and take a look. But being out another hour and half plus store time isn't going to happen tonight.

Sorry :(
