I'm not quite sure either, to be honest. It sounded funny in my head.

Hmm, is it just me, or is this the absolute worst bug the Rezound could have?

edit: I posted before I read the article, clearly DL feels the same way, haha.
Poking around on Verizon's Testman site I discovered this, We gotta be close!!!
![]()
I will find you and hurt you if this is a fake.![]()
Damn, you beat me to it....and will get you a shave and a haircut.![]()
The second time in 2 days isn't nearly as good.
Did you guys see the tweet from P3 saying Android wifi tether doesn't work on the nexus?
P3Droid tweeted:
"Android wifi-tether does not work with the nexus" what?!!![]()
I can see from your address bar that you're not on testman

I went on the testman site looked at smartphones then typed in Galaxy Nexus and a pair of gloves came up so at the bottom look at device compatibility and a ton of phones pop up.
You are probably right about it meaning nothing, but I like the fantasy of thinking the "1st" is a clue and that all will be revealed tomorrow. They could have spelled out 'first' and still had 2 characters left... that being said I don't think it means anything.
edit: nin-jerd.
Gotta keep you guys on your toes. We've become too soft around here...
Haven't we all been RickRoll'd by Verizon, the media, the tweeters and our fellow forum members for the past 2 months now? This whole forum is nothing but a bunch of lies and crushed dreams.
This one, this one right here. This was my dream, my wish. And it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back. I'm taking them all back. -Mouth

Speaking of which, I have a question for those who have preordered VZW phones in the past.Next week looks like I might be sick one day.![]()
It's cool, I was just pointing out that that particular page is not on testman. You can get to the same place on the real vzw site by searching '5801', clicking a result, click compatible devices tab, and the GNex is in the list.
those are all generic accessories, i will be excited when we finally start seeing docks, replacement batteries, etc. on there.
1 bit=one entry in binary, either a 0 or a 1 so a bit would be either "0" or "1"
1byte= 8 entries or 8 bits, either bit being 0 or 1 so a byte would be 0000 0000 or any combination of 1's and 0's
a Kilobit would be 1024 bits
a kilobyte would be 1024 bytes or (1024 x 8Bits)
and so on and so forth.
also half of a byte or four bits is a nibble/nyble
This is totally experience based so take it as you will. My company has 4 4G LTE hotspots that we use to make mobile connections for "away teams" on the weekends. We started with the Samsung hotspots because they were first to the market and quite frankly they were the absolute most frustrating devices I've ever dealt with in my life. They were completely unreliable in all ways, both in connection quality and the ability to hold a connection. After a few complaints to Verizon and a chat with an Engineer they swapped them with the Novatel 4g Hotspots. They are better but still not really functioning as well as tethering to my phone has performed.
It _seems_ like building penetration is worse on LTE and speed is greatly affected by signal. In my office (inside concrete/metal roof/etc) I get 2-3 bars of LTE which reads as about -88 db. Speed tests through my phone and through the hotspot come with results of around 2-3 mbits down and ~1.5mbits up.
If I step outside the building, roughly 15 feet away, it immediately jumps to about 17 mbits down and 6 mbits up.
We've tried to stream video conferences through the devices and while they are fast, they just won't seem to hold a connection consistently enough to do that. They work fine for browsing the internet its hard to even notice the disruptions but when broadcasting footage or video conferencing its easy to see. It also seems to have a pattern when we were streaming live footage in places they fail after about 29-31 minutes for about 30 seconds for the first 4 hours and then it becomes more frequent after that. So far no one has really been able to help us with "why" this happens.
We can broadcast streams on Clearwire just fine, we have to broadcast at lower quality obviously but we don't get the service interruptions.
Yes. If the title would have been "Squirrel Chasing Dog" and led to a RR, no problem. This close to launch I find these shenanigans annoying more than anything. I'm trying to be as productive as possible at work these days and this doesn't help.
I know a lot of people find it funny so I won't complain too much. I'll just look for GNex news elsewhere during the day.
What happened to the campaign to add a slap button?
My question is were the connectivity issues better or worse than EVERY other LTE phone release prior to RAZR and ReZound. Wouldn't be surprised if even they have their own little connectivity quirks, but my experience with Droid Charge and understanding of other LTE phones so far has been that VZW LTE is awesome, but there are still quirks when it comes to holding a data connection to it 100% of the time. Wouldn't be surprised if such issues aren't even fully devices fault as infrastructure could be a bit glitchy still also in this regard.
Don't think any have been totally unreliable, just not 100%.
