Great, looks like we're rolling through our second round of testman fodder. Only 2 more "testman is down" cycles, and we could beat the Dinc thread on that record too.

I just can't win on this board no matter what I say or do. I try to add a little levity to our situation and people hate me. I guess my mom was right... I am unlovable.![]()

seriously? that's where you decided to take this??
my verizon testman home page is blank, aside from menus. Pardon my ignorance, but what the hell is testman?

I get a blank page, but my vzw.com login credentials don't work there. Do I need to create a separate account for the testman site?
Hans, try the new ICS build for your Inc2 and let us know how it is![]()
i felt i needed to correct myself here.
the bootloader must be unlocked in order to obtain root. sorry for the confusion.
It's kind of like Bigfoot...........riding a Unicorn.
You can't log into it. It's non-functioning. It's used as a test page prior to putting things live on the real site. I've tried logging in at verizionwireless.com and then opening up testman and it logs me out.
The bootloader does not need to be unlocked to gain root access.
Is it an MIUI?
And why is OhMyNexus complaining of being unlovable? Did something happen?
(Sorry, I'm actually working right now, can't wade through the pages.)
according to Paul, it does indeed
and i quote:
"Note: If you are using a retail Galaxy Nexus, you may need to unlock the bootloader first, using './fastboot-windows oem unlock' (or the appropriate version for your machine). Note that the OEM unlock sequence wipes your device."
[MOD] 30 Nov r3: Superboot - rooting the Galaxy Nexus - xda-developers
what i get from that is that if you have a retail GNex and the bootloader isn't already unlocked, you'll need to unlock it first.
Ahh, I didn't realize we were talking about he GNex specifically, my bad.
