Hey whats you address, I think I might be nearby....tomorrow..LOL

Pretty sure there's going to be an announcement tomorrow, verizon is knows to upload/leak press shots the day before the announcement on more then one occasion, plus tomorrow is exactly 1 week before the rumored dec 8th date. Looks like il be getting my prime and my nexus next Thursday!

I'm anticipating a dev creating a way to disable the on-screen buttons "on by default" and enable a "swipe up gesture" from the bottom edge of the screen to bring them up. All screen= epic win. I believe its doable considering ICS gives the app devs the ability to easily make their apps scale to different screen sizes. Could be fun.

You mean an HD screen where the buttons don't take up any valuable pixel space? Hmmmm, I think I've seen that somewhere before. ;)

Based on the phone width alone, I did some math and expected to uncover some lies somewhere, probably with aspect ratio - because I saw a movie being shown with the soft buttons in one vid. But with soft buttons, the aspect ratio is 1.64 - think 16.4:10 - pretty close to 16:9, closer than I'd expected when using 4.65" as a reference.

It's a mystery to me.

I'm not sure if this is what you're getting at, but non-square pixels could easily explain a roughly 1% deviation from the expected diagonal. I don't think it's likely here, but CRT's frequently used to be driven w/oblong pixels (especially at the 5:4 ratio 1280x1024 resolution).

Hope they get resolved soon :o

After 21 years of marriage, I can tell you the secret 5 words to keeping your Lady happy:

Sorry Honey, I was wrong. (even if you're not!)

But just for the record...you really always are. :D

ok guys, need contract advice.
I am now off-contract as of last month. since I have been saving for the Nexus since June - due to the delays, I actually have enough to buy it outright and stay off contract. I do have unlimited data, but I understand this would be grandfathered in if I go back on anyway.
So would anyone advise me to stay off contract and buy it full price? I am almost sure I will be with verizon for as long as I have my current job since we get a corporate discount.

ok, my little Eris is on life support, takes a good 15-20 seconds after dialing before it actually starts to make the call, my camera just stopped working today, my GPS had me in the middle of the ocean offshore from Brazil........for the love of god, release the Nexus!!!!!!!!!!!!

edit, in case anyone was wondering, I am not in the middle of the ocean offshore from Brazil

So if online/telesales pre-order starts on the 6th, how many people are considering hitting the store instead? Seems like we'd get it quicker in-store.

If blogger can talk about review units (Nexus) tonight at 10pm pst. This only means the SGN will be released next week. I am hoping this is the case.
