Do people see 58,000 replies and think there are 58,000 posts on the Nexus alone!? I mean cmon... there's only so many times you can discuss the specs/release date..

For those looking for the 'snapshot' type of info in this thread, just look at post #1 .. Steven is constantly updating it

My prediction - Preorders start on 12/8, and it goes live 12/15 to give big red 10 full days to sell the shiz out of it right before xmas.

Here's my baby (but not my pic, but exactly like this) that I purchased about 6 months ago:

my daily driver is an '08 Acura Tl type S, Carbon Broze Pearl.... While we are on the subject of cars....my other obsession along with phones.....

I found myself nodding at this.
Only thing that makes it better is a lift and some big mudders

Although I'll admit the Mustang and Vette pique my interest as well.

On-topic

I am 95% sure if we don't hear something from Verizon today on the GNex we aren't getting a pre-order for this phone

I love most vehicles. Lifted Trucks, muscle cars, sports cars, and sporty hatches, I would drive any of them. I have the MS3 because it is the best all around car for my purposes, but when I can afford a second vehicle it will be truck, preferably lifted slightly, enough to give it some presence. I had a red '03 Z06 for a short 9 months until 1st child came along, that car was awesome. And I am loving what they are doing with the Camaro, Charger, and Mustang.

I have a '02 Grand am Gt1

Identical to mine...but 4 doors for the kids, toneau cover w/ spray in bed liner, bull sh*t chrome plated wheels, sunroof and nerf bars (ok almost the same but different)....favorite truck i have had yet. are your mirrors black...mine are red, thought all sport packages had matching mirrors

IMO that's like saying watching porno (not that I would ever do that) would make the actual act "a total anti-climax":D

I like watching the videos (Nexus videos in case you were wondering)

Off topic, might not be tasteful:

Interesting observation. But multiple studies have shown that addiction to porn can have a negative impact on "real life", um, activities. Less pleasure, more me-centered attitudes (read: selfish), and even depression.

I think addiction to Nexus-related stuff is going to result in decreased phone-pleasure for me. :([/spoiler]

So how many of you are going to use folders in your dock?

I think I might have Phone, SMS, Browser and Google Folder in my Dock (GMail, Maps, G+, etc).

What are you all thinking?

Off topic (cars):

Am I the only one that sees a truck/SUV as a gas guzzler???

I drive a 2009 Corolla and recently convinced my wife to trade in her 2002 Jetta for a 2011 Prius. Granted, our daily round-trip commutes to work are likely a lot longer than most, but with gas prices I can't help but of vehicles with low MPG ratings as burning money.

Note: I do understand the idea of a "work truck" or if off-roading is your thing, a "play truck". It just boggles my mind as a daily driver... What do most trucks average for MPGs nowadays? 15-20 MPG?

Since I can't edit, this was now posted twice. I tried to warn you. But there it is.

Good point. I'm hoping that the SGN doesn't release after the Prime. I don't know if I'll be able to stay on course if it does.

If SGN goes into late December I might just skip it also. I am the rare sort that would technically rather have a 7" tablet with voice than a phone. The SCH-I815 could be such a device and it seems that is what P3 keeps tweeting about here lately so it can't be TOO far off.

Def turbo.. couldn't pass up the ext 80 or so HP. What I did pass up, unfortunately, was the sunroof/nav, which they wanted $2,500 for. Couldn't get JUST the sunroof or JUST the nav (the nav blows, i just wanted the sunroof)

I really like the idea. However, is it much more convenient than a scrollable dock that's in many 3rd party HR apps? The one thing I love about GoLauncher is the scroll up/down ability to launch apps. I can put my dialer in one and my bus/metro app in the other. Really helps to clean up the home screen.

Cool find!

Frustrates me because its underexposed and out of focus. Better than nothing?

But does anyone else think that watching all these videos will ultimately take away from the initial experience? I feel like I've pretty much seen everything. I'm worried it will be a total anti-climax.

I agree. I have scrolled past all the video posts for weeks now and decided to look at this one wishing I had not. I'm experiencing the Dead Horse syndrome.

Just tweeted by Droid Life
"Oh lord. So today's rumor is that the Galaxy Nexus is delayed on Verizon because of Carrier IQ? #massivefacepalm"

I think what Kellen is saying there is, the person who is attempting to start this rumor is an idiot.

edit: and he confirms that with this

"And when I say facepalm, that's because Verizon doesn't use Carrier IQ and no way in hell would a Nexus have it. Come on folks."
