Has anyone here ever had the same type of battery door that the SGN has, with the tabs? If so, do those tabs break off easily?

I don't think I'll be removing the battery very often, and with no SD card, there won't really be a need, but still.

i've been curious about this as well. i see posts every so often about folks buying extra batteries to switch in/out when needed. i've avoided buying batteries for the reason you specified above. just not really sure how durable those thingys are.

Good luck! I went to the Adirondack Car Show this summer and loved seeing pics of how the vehicles looked before they were restored. It shows how much love and pride goes into them.

Hello all. Been following this forum for a while now, but just signed up, so I thought I'd introduce myself to the community. Anywho, just like the rest of you, the anticipation of waiting for the phone, or hearing anything from Verizon is killing me, lol. Imho, Verizon keeping tight lipped is bad from a marketing point of view. At least keep customers updated on any delays or at least provide a solid ETA. Here's to hoping for some news today.

Alright, my alma mater finally signed a new coach worth a crap, now all I need is a word on the Nexus!

On another note, an executive office assistant (whatever that means) has tried to get a hold of me twice after I wrote a pretty respectful letter to one of the VZW execs.

The digitizer on my current Droid is starting to go. Any thoughts on what I should I ask/tell him (his name appears to be Callahan Page, in case anyone has already spoken w/him)? He knows I'm waiting for the Nexus, buuut, I told him my IT guy was the one who was highly recommending it .

A Coug living in dog country eh? I think they should have given Wulff another year. He had some good things started.

That's o.k. though, Leach will now learn the meaning of "Couged-It!!!"

My Bionic does, and while it's a Moto and not Samsung, it seems to be extremely durable. Not "enrageable" like the POS door on the Droid, but never had a feeling it would fall off. I've only taken it off a couple times for battery pulls, and it's only a couple months old, but it seems solid.

Han, if you plan on rooting and romming you will be removing the battery a lot. Prepare for bootloops! Battery pulls become a must.

Like I said its all personal taste and at least it looks better than a huge wing on a slow car, but I don't think it relates at all. A huge wing on a slow car is that person thinking their car can go super fast and needs a wing for downforce. Stancing a car is totally different. A lot of people I know install springs or coilovers to get rid of the wheel gap that comes from the factory, but there are others that take it to other levels and I applaud them for driving around like that. I think that MS3 looks killer, but like I said to each their own.

That almost looks like my car except I have a 2007 (no smilie face front grill for me) with stock suspension and black wheels with a red pinstripe. Tinted windows completes red/black style.

As a mid-life family man, I don't get the low suspension thing -- seems too impractical to me. And what's up with the rear tires on a slant? I assume that is what the term "stance" refers to? I am trying to picture how the wheel connects to the axle, and wouldn't that cause the tread to wear unevenly?

I would say most Cougs live on the westside, since that's where most are from.....another dog thinking they're better than they really are? I would be !

Never had a Nexus and never followed their forums. Wonder if ROMs are any more solid and bug free than other phones? Battery pulls, no sweat. SBFing (or whatever it's called on the Nexus), that's another story

I will definitely root, but I'm not sure about ROMS. At least not for a while.

I guess I should probably invest in a few extra battery doors, just in case.

Well I am 23 years old so I have no kids/no family to worry about right now so this is where my extra money and enjoyment goes to. The rear tires on a slant is actually camber that you're seeing. MKV's have an independent rear suspension so as you lower the car you gain more camber (camber angle is the angle made by the wheels of a vehicle; specifically, it is the angle between the vertical axis of the wheels used for steering and the vertical axis of the vehicle when viewed from the front or rear).

Unfortunately it does cause some uneven tire wear, BUT I rarely drive that low so as you raise it you un-camber the wheels some causing less tire wear. I also flip the tires every season to reverse the effects of the camber wear.

Am I the only one that sees a truck/SUV as a gas guzzler???

I drive a 2009 Corolla and recently convinced my wife to trade in her 2002 Jetta for a 2011 Prius. Granted, our daily round-trip commutes to work are likely a lot longer than most, but with gas prices I can't help but of vehicles with low MPG ratings as burning money.

Note: I do understand the idea of a "work truck" or if off-roading is your thing, a "play truck". It just boggles my mind as a daily driver... What do most trucks average for MPGs nowadays? 15-20 MPG?

I love our Prius. Its a gadget / tech geeks heaven! Still gotta have our truck though we rely on it.
