So maybe with your expertise/source of your sister can enlighten as to why they are just refusing to give us a date. Hell even if it is pushed back, just explain why. Good communication is always great customer service.

I can ask her, but based on my previous conversations with her, it just seems that if they had said, for example, November 17, and then pulled back on it because of bugs, etc., then they'd look even more like liars and idiots than they already do.

However, there is also evidence that they've held it back for corporate strategy reasons. (Kellex, BMX, etc. have all had sources tell them different dates that proved to be pushed back).

I don't think we'll ever learn the true story. And Verizon knows that the second we get our hands on the SGN, we'll forget all the anger and frustration built up because of their lack of communication, so they don't care either.

But then those new people that don't understand the time we've put into our family here can just skip pages and not bother the mods with requests to tell us to stop. I get it. I agree with it. I'd be even happier if the app had hide buttons.

True. Thanks for the link...gonna take a serious look at it. Only concern is if its portable enough to transport in pocket? A spare battery is just a quick switch

Is anyone planning on getting a decal skin sticker (such as the one below) for their Nexus? I would think it extremely annoying to have something not completely transparent covering the touchscreen. Anyone use something like this now that would care to weigh in?

not as thin as an actual phone battery, but i think it would be ok in a pocket or hoodie. it's also 7000mah which is a pretty good amount of juice!

I'm getting a dock (if it even exists). That thing looks awesome and the pogo pins are a nice touch.

Any reason as to why Verizon can't just communicate the situation to us? It's not like we are all going to go out and buy ReZounds because we don't know the GN is coming. It's a different era in today's world. We know it's coming and we are all waiting as consumers.

So in saying this, why no communication? With social media being the new thing that companies use... then use it wisely. Keep us updated. Or be smart and give realistic hints. We are going to find out anyway. I cannot find one positive in hiding information in today's world.

No communication would be because most people, in fact, do not know what's coming. The "we" who are all waiting is a very small group compared to Verizon's customer base. Having to wait it out is the price we have to pay for being "in the know" so early.

Yeah, I think its clear the rules are changing slightly. To be fair we have been abusing the off topic leeway a little (or a lot) the past few days, so Phases is tightening the leash just a little as a result I think. Added bonus... just got informed today that, because I chose 18 months ago to forsake our corporate phones and just use my personal phone, the owners are willing to reimburse my next phone purchase and pay 1/3 of my phone bill. No strings attached.

Those of you not eligible for an upgrade yet, don't fret, I'm sure all csrs are able to authorize early upgradeable. VZW wants you to sign up for 2 more years!

So far I have not had any luck with getting an early upgrade, just "sorry we can't do that" and "I talked to my Supervisor and he said we can not do that".
My scheduled upgrade is 1/6/12.

The guy could have gotten his friend to text him that and temporarily changed the contact name to the number...

Plus, why would Verizon send out a text message like this? It seems unlike them.

i really want the pogo pins in the car. im pretty sick of putting my droid in the car dock 1.0, plugging in the charging cable then plugging in the 3.5mm wire as well...
