Also, what about the leaked Best Buy doc saying they'll have it by the 11th? Considering that there's no way they could get it before Verizon, that would mean it would have be before Pyde's target of post-12/12.

Fixed it for ya. That's the part that burns me. They know there is huge interest in this phone, and they know there is tons of speculation about dates and such. Why not put something official out there - even if it's complete BS - to satisfy their customers? :mad:

I'm just being optimistic, that's all, if every "source" post on this thread about the galaxy nexus mentions Dec 8th for something Galaxy Nexus related what makes you think they're all wrong and that we won't hear anything at all next week? :)

Yes, I have an old family friend that works for VZW corporate and he told me not to make plans for next Thursday and to return my "brick" (Rezound). While it is possible that he plans to make some crazy trip to the Rocky Mountains next week and thinks I should get an iPhone, I'm kind of doubting it. ;)

Britishturbo said release on the 8th. P3 agreed with him. Pyper comments contradict. Whose right, if any? Who knows.

How many sources said Nov 17th was definitely happening compared to how many think Dec 8th is happening, that includes VZW reps and everything else here too? Nov 17th feels like it was so long ago to me that I really don't remember how many sources we had for it. Thanks in advance.
 
I will have a new phone next Thursday. It's up to Verizon if it's on their network or not.

Exactly, there's no concrete evidence for either side.

Although very outdated, the last leak from verizon said Launch on the 8th.

What are some reasons as to why I should stick with my decision and snatch up a G-Nex rather than wait for a quad-core phone? Or should I wait? I want to have no regrets when getting the G-Nex.

i know others have posted the long-standing reply of: "something new and better will always be just around the corner, and you could end up waiting forever." while there is truth to that, i don't think it answers your question.

the way i prefer to look at it is like this: given the specs, do you think the GNex will meet your own personal needs and preferences for a smartphone for the next 20 months?! if so, then why wait for another 4, 6, 8 or more months for a quad core device?!

for me, i use my device primarily for business - calendaring, emails, review and edit docs, viewing pics, etc. i also use it to take pics, browse the web, keep up with sports scores and news, etc. I'm not a big gamer, and don't watch videos, so a quad core isn't going to add much to my smartphone experience. right now, the phones coming out (and especially the GNex) are fast, have tons of ram and memory, and can do what i need. any increased speed or what have you from a quad core would most likely be wasted on me, at least for a phone (i fully intend to get either the ASUS TP or Lenovo quad core tablet once they drop this month).
 
If Hans sis is right (which I'm sure she is with the screen shots we have seen today) then there must be a preorder coming. Who knows what that day is the 6th the 8th...

Exactly. I was a camp counselor for far too long and saw way too many tears over pick your team or pick your buddy
