Same... I'm concerned that I could actually be forced to get something different after waiting this long to replace my crap of Droid....if something like that were to happen

I have to believe that those diligent to this forum will be fine... but the casual consumer that sees a commercial a few days after release, may not see the phone until after Christmas.

Why? SGSII is almost as big and like the best selling Android phone ever, in the world. I think that this phone is being seriously underestimated. This was/is VZW's "version" of the SGSII
 
I know I'm gonna love this phone. Coming from the OG Droid is going to make it more fun.

Over at friends for dinner this evening one of the guests spotted my Droid and was amazed those things were still around. She was amazed how well it has held up. Heh, its the 1 month old insurance replacement but I kept quiet.
She let me whirl her HTC Inspire around.

1st impression was What a Tank! That thing weighs a ton being noticeably heavier then my Droid. And to think the GN is lighter than the Droid, its gonna feel like a feather.

I get the feeling the experience is going to be like getting out of my minivan and into my truck.
 
I wonder if the curved glass will make screen protectors a little tougher to put on. Someone posted a pic of a case today, I wish I knew where they picked that up from.

They said the same thing about the Evo, and that was back when Android was relatively unknown. That thing seemed to sell pretty well. Android, along with the Samsung Galaxy brand, have much greater recognition now. That coupled with the gradual shift toward larger screens and the vastly more approachable user interface lead me to believe this thing should sell very well. It's hardly just for enthusiasts.

Edit: Not to mention Lte capabilities, which alone will draw attention to it.

Don't see why it would. I bet it's no different other than being much larger

Thanks. I can't wait to hear how it is. I use my camera way to often for that to not work. I'd rather hear the phone didn't work. Lol
 
Hey guys I saw a cool screen in this thread of the nexus showing off a guys data usage. It wasn't the my verizon app. Idk if it was a feature of ICS, anyone know what he was using to monitor data usage.

Yeah it won't be on my phone long I just want to see how far they've gotten on it and how hw accel is working
