***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Well, judging from the photos and a few hands on experiences from a select lucky few, we can now officially conclude that the Verizon 4g LTE Samsung Galaxy Nexus at least exists :)

:D

So any of you guys have any questions regarding my experience with the phone? I pretty much tested out every function so shoot them along.

If you tried really hard could you get it to lag? I can't help but think without all that Verizon bloat it's got to be a huge performance gain

It will be nice to actually use the 1gb of ram and not have any of it allocated to bloat.

Why do I feel the need to randomly go to Verizon's website and check their smartphone section every few hours? :)

Oh I'm sure I'm the only one that does that...:D
"Randomly?" and "every few hours?"

Amateur! I have a timer that goes off every 5 min to remind me to refresh the VZW page! :D

Not at all, it is very very speedy, and the 3 Verizon-related apps on there that you can disable anyways I don't really consider them bloatware at all. You easily get the full stock Android experience. :)

Any better results from the camera in the LTE version than the GSM?

Wasn't able to compare to a GSM varient (they didn't have any) but compared to the vast amount of reviews and videos I've seen from the GSM model they are pretty much equal. Pretty much instant button press photos (truely zero shutter lag). You will be very happy. :)

Cool.

1)If you have held the international or AT&Ts SGS2, do the curves on the Nexus make it easier to hold comfortably than either of those, which are more rectangular in shape? Also, does the back cover feel identical to the one on the SGS2?

2)To your eyes, how "white" are the whites on the screen?

3) Did you use the front-facing cam? If so, is it tilted downwards because of the curved-screen?

4) Do you feel that there is too much wasted space under the software navigation buttons?

5) How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck would chuck wood? :p

I'm just wondering what the music app is like. Did you get to test that out? Any noticeable improvements?

I am extremely jealous of you. :p
I feel like driving to NY from CA is not really justifiable, well then again...

You forgot:
6) What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Back on topic, I keep trying to think of an intelligent question to ask about the phone but all I can think of is, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme...

last questions: How smooth was the pinch to zoom In ICS and how good was text rendering? Thanks in advance!

Fastest and smoothest pinch-to-zoom experience I've seen on any phone, including the iPhone 4S. :)

1) Yep! That slight curve gives it a more natural look and feel and less bland and blocky like the SII. Back cover has a slightly more pronounced texture but good quality plastic.

2) Very white! Had a white t-shirt and pretty much matched it when I looked at Google.com on the browser. Hands down best display I have seen on a smartphone since the iPhone 4.

3) I did and I could not tell at all even if there was a tilt. I'm pretty sure the only thing "tilted" is the actual surface, all internals including the display itself is flat.

4) Not at all! Because of that high resolution you are able to fit a lot more on that screen than you think. And even that permanent Google search on the home screen didn't feel like wasted space. Besides, you can't use that space anyways if you remove it (it's been tested already).

5) Over 9000 ;)

Music app resembles a lot of the Google Music out that's out now but a few minor UI tweaks here and there.

TLDR: If you like the Google Music app you will like this one as well. :)

Yep. Same way as in all current Verizon 4G phones. Right in the settings under "Mobile Network".
Did he fall asleep at the keyboard?

Don't mind me. It's just 2:40AM right now. ;)

Just watches - nothing to see here, move along!
lol! yup

I cracked up the first time I read that. It was 2 years ago in a watch forum do you collect watches maybe it was you? :p

If it was for my wrist-sundial watch - then YES! :)

I have a lot of watches - my Mickey is still hands-down my most accurate!
Naturally - I still have the box for it.

Wear with another watch with the sundial watch set to standard time to get true north!!!

edit - must be on same wrist for maximum time-space accuracy!

OK ladies and gentlewomen Monday at 11:45 CST the 7 Day sale will end. Will the iPhone killer be unveiled...we shall see.
