I don't see where anyone said she was lying. The word of a CSR in the absence of an official announcement fro VZW does warrant a measure of skepticism, but I wouldn't go so far as to say we're not believing her.

That's impossible.

I know it goes against popular thinking, but most theorists are idiots. If they don't understand something, they always assume it's random. That's like a child saying that food just randomly appears on the table, because there's no way that his dad leaving for 8 hours per day has anything to do with it. :eek:

End of mini-rant.
 
Weren't CSR's saying that it would be out on Nov 17th/21st a couple weeks back when we had the operation call all verizons?

It's nothing like saying food randomly appears on the table. That's magic. In in this case if enough CSRs give a date eventually one of them is going to be correct. True or false?

This phone is ready. According to (britishturbo?), warehouses have them. Looks like we'll all have our beautiful Nexi by the end of this week :)

where are the devices in stock? we have heard they are in stock in some wharehouse out west(supposedly, without photo proof) and they are waiting for more... but we havent had one bit of proot that any store actually has them. and unless they get them by tuesday at the latest, i dare say we are all set up for heartbreak on the 8th

Actually, the theorem is pretty easy to prove. Let's relate it back to the Nexus. If there are infinite number of CSRs, and each one of them says a different release date.... well, we've covered every possible day for the rest of time. One of them has to be right!

The one who is right is the shakespeare-typing monkey! :)
 
Morning guys. I just wanted to throw out the old rumor from twitter that we'll see an announcement tomorrow. Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of Verizon LTE, and I could totally see Verizon making a big statement regarding that and the Nexus. Maybe I'm just getting too tired of this lol

Wouldn't be surprised if stores did only get them one or two days before launch... why would they ship them out that early if they don't need to?

I hope you're right, but devices being displayed in a store, and unconfirmed rumors are not exactly the strongest pieces of evidence.

Thanks Han. That definitely makes more sense if there is going to be a pre-order on Wednesday. It wouldn't make sense to have a one day pre-order. Is it really worth pre-ordering though, if you probably won't get it til Friday anyway? I thought somebody mentioned a while back that Verizon had gone to 2-day shipping (used to be 1-day)

i agree, but we have to remember its a big shipping season for the likes of UPS an fedex, and things are a little slower this time of year. if VZW was planning on a thursday release, they would be shipping out early to ensure all of their corporate stores receive them in time. so if we dont have photo proff they have been sent or recieved by tuesday, cross the 8th off the list

edit: obviously wednesday if meant for friday launch

Additionally it is the end of there 7day web sale. Who knows.
