Because they officially announced the phone months ago, and I know they said before the end of the year, but them sitting back while it is available over seas is something they should look at. The iPhone was never available overseas first so there wasn't so much need for information on when it would release here.
If they would've released the SGSII, there's a good chance, I'd have that phone and be happy. I loved the T-Mobile phone, just not the network. They said they passed to get something better and then won't say when it's coming.
Perhaps you should direct your anger towards Samsung for not manufacturing the LTE model first. They manufactured the GSM models first, that's why they were available across the pond initially. I don't know what the delay with the LTE model, but even during the launch event in Hong Kong, it sounded like the specs weren't finished (no thickness for LTE model, batter size not reported, etc).
