Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Bloodawn is there anyway to put the old GB skin back on the keyboard? I find that's its just WAY too much black for me. I didn't mind the old one and the mod was fine before. Just that the new keyboard is a little too much black for me and I find myself straining my eyes to see the keys. Like removing a file or something would be great :)

must be a problem with boost atm cause i test MMS/SMS before each version release and they worked but now its stuck on sending

Thank you for the fast response. I'l hang tight and hope that the issue is fixed soon. I love CTMod by the way. Add my appreciation to the countless others who have shown appreciation for this beloved rom as well :)

open up the zip to either 2.0/2.1/2.2 and pull out the LatinIME.apk from the app folder and move it to /system/app on the phone

Thanks a lot Bloodawn. I have terrible vision and it was just a little too hard for me to see.

Yeah hang tight, SMS/MMS works perfect for me and i installed 2 1/2 hours ago
try updating profile ETC--
 
yo bloodawn how i change the overall theme color? i tried uot but i cant change the reception bar color from white or the power notifications icons. im trying to get the ultra blue look. thanks for your help
 
For those having MMS issues on 12/4/2011 please note that Boost is having issues with the MMS service.

"LatinIME.apk cannot be moved" Its not working for me.

Even when I first did the 2.2 and wanted some things from the removed apk's list I couldnt add things to /system/app, why cant I do this simple task???? m***** f*****

Relax, i had same problem with apks that were removed

1) get ES file explorer
2) go in to settings change home location from /sdcard/ to /
3) wile in settings - click root explorer
4) click mount file system.
5) no go to location where you have the apk and copy it.
6) go to root directory (/) click system/app/ then hit the tab on the bottom of the screen and you should see your copied apk and just click it. and it will move it to app.
thats it. let us know if have problems after

Yeah that is odd, it has root privileges, id get same error all the time-
there is a previous post that was started by me look on here for it, it pertains to same thing just with removed apks. i followed their instructions and now i can add and remove apks at will nifty feature .. if not im sure Bloodawn can assist you more, sorry if im not much help.

Its cool man. i seen those posts before and I did some homework and saved the tips to my desktop but still no luck. Im moving on to bigger problems right now anyway. i just installed a 8gig SD and partitioned it, the saved files from my old SD are transfering to the 8gig sd in the phone right now, so once I get it back on and see where the flames break out first i will be busy with other things. lol <--- but not really lol'ing

Yeah i hear you, daunting but when its done and working it is so gratifying

what root apps do you have installed? have titanium backup or any shit like that?
 
mine copied just fine but no keyboard now lol

EDIT:::: rebooted WORKED PERFECT!!!!!!!!! you must have missed step, not saying your not smart but mine copied instantly and worked perfectly

pulled apk from system/app of 2.1 put on my sd, went into ES compied it and clicked it in system/app of phone and asked if i want to replace said yes rebooted and worked

OK my little issue I mentioned after I did a new SD card is cured (off topic I know) but I mentioned it so I will clear it. Of course after a new card and partition I copied my stuff from the old to the new and after a reboot I had no Alps. No biggie just install titanium and restore them all. Well it kept force closing and the phone would reset. So after cussing and thinking about it I got this grand idea to just restore my backup from two days ago (idiot moment for sure LOL)

Anyway yep I got titanium. Superuser. Tether. A2sd. Screenshot. All the normal root chit. Not sure why it wont let me move stuff to /system/Apps???

you gotta decompile the apks and make the changes

ill probably be doing a new simple blue soon but im gonna wait till i see if i can get the brightness widget working
