Key word is "rumored". Verizon isn't really the one disappointing us, it's the rumors we tend to believe/disbelieve. Although I'm prepared to put on a flame proof suit for that comment (I nearly got killed at the AC forums for suggesting that Verizon isn't really the bad guy here)

Sounds about right. December 15th anyone?
 
Must be coming soon, and my Storm1 can smell it.

It's gone into reboot mania, constantly trying to boot and cycle.

I think it smells the fear!
 
verizon's web sale ends today so i don't think we will hear anything until tomorrow at the earliest. although i'm not holding my breath.

Speaking of AC I finally was able to see the pic that Rook posted yesterday. I was on my Droid and didnt have access to my PC last night.. I hate AC because they force you to be a member to see anything worthwhile in their forum, ie links or pics. Anyhoo for others that couldnt see it, I agree, it is a really good sign that the Iphone Holiday ads are being seen since the next item is indeed the coming Nexus campaign!!

From what I've messed around with, the apps look great. As Android matures, developers are getting better and better at optimizing apps across the board, and that should only improve with a widespread adoption of ICS. I'm seriously considering the Kindle Fire, mainly on price alone. I'm sure eventually Android based tablets will hit that price range too, but at this point, the KF seems like the best option under $200.

This is no BS!! I just called four stores in my area. The first one, the manager answered and took my name and number and said she'll give me a call when it comes in next week. The next two were stores gave me the company line, "we haven't received an official release date." Now, the last guy was awesome. He first said that he thought the release date would be next week. I asked if he had a list going and he said no, but he'll start one for me. He asked me to hold, then came back and said, "between you and I, I just received the email and it's going to be released on Friday." I made an appointment on Friday at 9 am!!!! SWEEEEEET!!!!

i kind of agree with you on this, i have a Droid3 and its been pretty good, except for camera performance and the occasional reboot or freeze and battery pull. More recently it has been freezing while taking pictures and needs a batter pull or the phone has been restarting much more often.

Also the battery life has been decent with a 7AM unplug to 11PM/12AM plug in before bed leaving me with anywhere from 15-40 percent depending on daily usage. As of the past few days that has gone horribly down hill, today by 10 it was at 70 percent and i had barely even touched the darned thing.

Our phones know they will be replaced soon and are throwing temper tantrums.

If he received an email stating that, you can guarantee it will be leaked by today, assuming it went out across the country
 
Mornin'! Hope everyone is well and sane. It can't be too much longer maybe this continued "tight-lipping" by VZ points to a sudden and surprise announcement. Get your cash/CC's ready and stay attentive! :)
