Actually I probably hold the crown as the biggest 'downer' in this thread. But when you look at the facts, it seems that what you and I have been saying is borne out.

This will continue to play out and people will continue to hold on to every date thrown out by every grandmother, sister of friend who once worked for Verizon and on and on.

Will it be here Thursday or Friday? I hope so, but I sure doubt it.

You know, for once I want him to actually be right, since he has been favoring the 8th for his latest "solid" launch day back and forth, flip, flopping. As to any sort of phone consumption, like those slippery politicians, he has gone back and forth, up, down, and sideways with all his dates so many times that he has fully covered his Tricky Dick "I am not a crook" ass, lol.

Ha ha ha. keep the faith, folks. Remember - it's a phone. Do the ALT-Tab at the wrong time and you won't have a job to be able to afford the phone!

Man, either the CSR's know absolutely nothing (most likely) or they have been threatened with their lives and those of their families to keep the info tight lipped.

I usually chat one up during my morning coffee break and I get nothing! Not even a clue.

I think all the manic ups and downs on this thread are funny. Bottom line is that Verizon said by the end of the year. I'm going on vacation on 12/29 and all I ever wanted was to have it by then. Period.

Everything else has just been leaked insider info on the weird business decision process from Verizon which obviously has changed a million times. But then again, so does our own projects at work. We have a general time frame for completion but almost always an absolute deadline. Sometimes we finish early--others times we hit the very last day.

DING DING DING! We have a winner! As much as I'm the last person in the world to suggest Verizon isn't the 'bad guy' given my experience with other things 'verizon', it's absolutely the truth that virtually all the disappointment here is the result of believing (and continuing to believe) one rumor after another....regardless of where it comes from.

I keep coming back to that "soft launch" rumor a while back. I really don't think we're anywhere close to the danger zone yet. I survived the Thunderbolt release fiasco, I'm dealin'. Starting to "feel" the Friday rumors though. Pre-order Chief!

Tough decision. I personally, LOVE my tablet (a Toshiba Thrive.) It is, for me the perfect solution to checking emails, forum browsing, looking up info on the internet as needed, ordering pizzas online, streaming movies to our big screen, reading books, even remote desktop controlling my office workstation. LOVE my tablet! However, that doesn't take away from my desire for the GN, at all. I don't take my tablet everywhere, of course, although I certainly take it more places than I do my laptop.

But, get your GN first....then with the bonus your sister will give you for NOT bugging her all the time about the GN, you can get your tablet!
 
So just went and talked to the Verizon people visiting my job today and they seem to be glorified CSR reps and had no info about release date of the phone. He knew what it was and said he was really excited to get one for himself, but all he could tell me was that it'll be out within the next few weeks (which to me means he doesn't know).

Sorry if I stirred up any possible excitement, just figured they would know something about the device ... oh well. Hopefully Thursday or Friday.

i havent seen the flash graphics on that site for days. so dont think it means anything
 
Believe it or not, I just had a web conversation with a person who as also named "Tiffany" and got a LOT of info!!

The convo was too long and honest to do a screenshot of.. There were so many sentences that I there had to be a scroll bar, so I'm going to have to paste.


Doing it now.

I think its been proven a million times that testman doesn't mean much. was joking.

I DO love the way that just by saying nothing at all, there are THOUSANDS of people building the buzz for this product. Awesome non-launch idea: do nothing and let the crazy blogs build the excitement. Wish i could do that with my wife's flower shop!!
