Wow this is what I miss at lunch -- I knew something was up when I was 5 pages behind in less than an hour.

This is getting very real and very exciting -- hoping for a Thursday release now!

The first link is just a screenshot, which has little value. The second is more interesting.

If they're shipping already, we should see some pics of boxes either now or later today.

Simple BS test, I suppose.

I wish I had watched Dexter last night. I need a jolt.

Quoted too late, but guess we saw our leak for the day.

I know its from a while ago just was posting it to show some people stores were receiving stock.

Quoting myself. Anway, I read the entire PR and the date - December 15th- keeps popping up. In the above bullet list and again in another paragraph:

"On Dec. 15, Verizon Wireless will be in 190 markets, covering more than 200 million people, with numerous different devices. Which means you have a great selection of smartphones, tablets, mobile hotspots and USB modems to access the network."

Very interesting...

Good catch Dec 15th is a Thursday....hmmm

and it's less than 2 weeks away! It's a festivas miracle!

We'll I'm out of town for work and on the mobile. If someone really wants to get some clarification, hit up the source of those images on XDA And ask if there was a sleeve or anything left out of the photos.

Make sure it hasn't been asked before. They are big on not asking if it's been done already. Not nearly as community feeling there.

2 pairs,Im going in solo (sorry Han)

Will not comment..... Will not comment.... Will not........

Okay, so I'll play devil debbie downer advocate on the PR...

Maybe, like PydePepper from Twitter said, its pre-order Thursday the 8th, release Thursday the 15th. That would give a full week of pre-orders...But isn't Best Buy supposed to get it on the 11th? Would Verizon really release it after Best Buy? Does not make sense!

AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

Just got an email from Verizon Wireless.

Subject: Thanks for visiting us
Content: Check out the RAZR, BIONIC, Rezound and X2.

All excited for nothing.

I would put more belief in those pics being from store stock if I saw more than one box. That pic could have been taken anywhere, even at Google HQ.

To me, the white box actually looks more legitimate- I don't think the poster would PURPOSELY try to make it fake and have just a plain white box. Like someone else said there is probably a sleeve that goes over it (like many other phones). Heres to hoping and not to being sucked in by trolls.

Dec. 15th is popping up because that is the next rollout of LTE stuff. My area is getting an expansion on that date. Probably good for 100-200k people added to their total. Just saying.

Maybe it's coming out sooner than this month. They're gonna go back in time and release it on the 17th like they originally planned.

Quick, Get in!

That's just not how these things work. If the phone was attracting people in the store who wouldn't be there normally, that's not a negative. You can insist they aren't there to buy anything but the point of any promotion is feet in the store.

Sorry, I've been around marketing, on all levels, for over a decade. You're just wrong.

I've worked retail myself in the past, and know firsthard that stores can and will take down demo units for this reason. When I worked for a music store we had to put a guitar behind the counter and limit access, because too many people were coming in just to mess around with it. I saw it happen again in I believe '06 when the Wii first came out. There was a Gamstop nearby who took down their demo model because people were coming in to play with it and not buying anything. Same time of year too.

Don't tell us we're wrong when you don't know for certain what happened. We're not stating fact, just speculating.

What makes more sense is to continue to have the phone on display to make even more buzz.

Yea that would make the most logical sense but I have seen things like this a bunch where they put it up for a quick couple of days like a tease then take it down. Who knows maybe VZW really feared any kind of overlap and ask for the pull.
