Did anyone get the smoke one? I want to know what you think of it before I order. I am also procrastinating because I'm hoping to find a bumper type case like the fruit has or similar to my case for my dinc

I got my smoke one in the mail today. I like it. I wish it was just a shade or two darker in color.

Well like I stated from the very beginning, I am not here to prove my credibility or state my sources or pass anything I tell you off as official Verizon statements. most humble and honest "leaker" to ever come out of the woodwork during one of these threads IMO. thank you for what you shared, and for keeping up hope when we all thought it was lost. i never doubted you as you are not trolling for responses, posting cryptic info, or holding your leaks hostage for thanks/followers/website hits. i can only hope every future pre-release thread gets a source half as forthcoming as you were.

I believe you also. I think it is understandable took the situation has been fluid from the very beginning. It is why certain things he fell through and have not held. But I don't think it's because people are providing false information obviously this thing has been changing by the minute from day 1. Thanks for all the info you provided

What I find funny is that some dude who knows nothing about the Nexus, or this thread, or all the characters here will walk into a Verizon store some day and purchase a Nexus on the exact same day as people who have literally wasted hours and days refreshing this site hoping to be the first to get news. There's something very ironic about that. Not certain of the significance of that, but I'm sure there's a life lesson in there somewhere.

I think we have an outspoken minority as it is very easy for the people who appreciate your information to just hit thanks, whereas there is not a "no thanks" button. Most of us realize that not everything that is said on here is going to be true, but in order to get the good information we also have to deal with the bad.

He/She seemed to be legitimate. And the XDA guy who dropped the photos saying it was a final retail box, with some sort of embossing on the box visible to us, seemed legitimate as well, but they contradicted each other.

So who knows. I don't think it's right to outright attack anyone, though, who presents info that you don't believe.

Except for the Windsock, of course.

there will always be people doubting. fact is until Verizon releases an official statement or press release, its all rumors or hearsay. I don't think you should take it personally which it sounds like you are. oh well to each their own.

To open1your1eyes: Thank you for all the confirmation you have provided us and I want sincerely apologize for some of the members on this and other forums. We are a very sensitive bunch and can get a little overzealous sometimes. I hope you don't ditch us and come back to us soon with more information.

It's the nature of forums. Some choose to blindly believe, others require proof. This member failed to provide any solid proof, and was not verified by any credible members (steven etc). His info was proven to be false by the user who actually posted the pics of the nexus in box.

To each his own, but I just cannot believe every new user who signs up and claims to have insider info. It was his decision to go in the end, and was no one's fault.

Everyone has the right to voice their own opinions on this forum. Why is it that when people post their thanks and belief for an individual it is okay, but when similar users convey their skepticism it is considered taboo?

Edit: This was not necessarily meant to attack you, VZWAndroider. Just to clarify, there is a fine line between posting opinions/skepticism, and attacking a member directly. Some people crossed that line, and that is unfortunate.

Yes, and it's: Put the computer/tablet/phone away and enjoy your life. Phones will come and go - you'll be looking for the newest thing in less than a year anyway.

Some of you may remember me from the infamous Incredible and Thunderbolt threads ... I've been lurking here for the last few weeks as the clock has been counting down, I finally have enough confidence in my info to share with you all. With the combination of my two sources and the phone call I made to my local store I have come to the following conclusion:

Official Release will be on Monday, December 12th, 2011

Not only am I getting the same date from my sources, but I just called my local Verizon Wireless Corporate store and was told that they already have the SGN in stock but they aren't allowed to activate them until tomorrow (Which, I'm guessing will also be the announcement date.) and the official release date is as I stated above.

I do not know about any potential pre-order dates, but if I was a betting man (And I am) I would guess that the 8th/9th dates floating around are for pre-orders.
