I don't understand what this means, as LTE phones have SIMs that are activated at time of purchase?

Perhaps its an inventory thing? Who knows. I don't quite follow either. Funny though, when I stopped myself from posting a "went to my local store" post earlier, this was what my friend said as well hahaha. Though, I asked for clarification and got the answer I expected : "its a gut feeling."

edit: by 'inventory thing' I mean, activate them in the stores system as ready for sale. I set up a similar procedure at my store years ago for upcoming new releases. By looking at the inventory I knew I had stock of said item, but my employees couldn't sell them through our computer system because they were not entered into THAT directory. Make sense? Again, who knows what to believe. Wait and see.

We are not witch hunters... we are just skeptics. If you can't defend your info... then why post it?

tips and anonymous leaks are used all the time....perhaps they have a fear of losing their employment and would rather have a job than appease every little concern of a message board poster

the information was given in a polite way, not asking for anything, and with the qualification that it wasn't official unless you hear it from the source (Verizon)

take it or leave it, no reason to question the messenger at every turn

i'll say this again, if they turn out to be wrong, credibility lost, end of....

Again, you would have to ask the Manager that gave me that info. To put it into perspective, once he told me that they were physically in the store, I asked if I could come by and play with one after I get off work tonight. That's when he said probably not since they aren't allowed to activate them until tomorrow.

Maybe he meant the demo units?

Wow seems like a lot of folks need to take a chill pill in here.

Cmon peeps, we are getting closer than ever to our objective! We can't let a few things people are saying get us off course. Stick with it soldiers! Move forward and press on!!!!

I agree with you completely. None of us really know what to believe and nothing that comes from someone other than Verizon officially is 100% reliable. Some of us (I'll go out on a limb and say a majority of us) appreciate when people try to give us information. The fact that trolls exist doesn't take away from the fact that not everyone necessarily has to be one. I find it really annoying (and even reported a few people) that immediately start calling the poster a liar or saying that no one should believe them. Last I checked it wasn't OK to disparage another member of this forum. It is very different to post "I don't believe that" vs. something that (jokingly or not) basically is just calling the person names.

I have no faith Verizon ever wants to release this phone. So if it comes next week, I'll be ecstatic. If you pin your hopes on this week, you set yourself up for disappointment, this is not a normal situation where a company wants to get a breakthrough device to the market as soon as possible. They will look for any, and I mean any reason to delay the launch further.
