Whoops, that was a reseller I was trying to call. They finally answered and said no idea. She giggled when I asked then said "honestly, we just check google". hahahah, hey I appreciate honesty.

Now to call the corporate store...
 
For Coach (and anyone in a gloomy mood): A comedic reprieve from Nexus deficiency.

This show is loosely based on a real hotel in Britain. Cleese and the rest of MP were staying at a hotel while filming The Meaning Of Life. Everyone else packed up and left because the owner of the hotel was such a horrid individual. Cleese found it to be a perfect opportunity to create a character. He stuck around and wrote notes. It later became Fawlty Towers. Here is a starter course.

Just called one of the corporate stores by me (the only one open past 8 PM EST) and they have no idea what the release date is and they have no list to sign up on. I'll try the other stores around me in the morning.

30 minutes to greenville, 20 minutes to anderson or seneca which both have corporate stores as well. if i can't get it here, you best believe i'll be making a trip down. plus it's rude to pass up free beer! :D

Thanks, but I have used up all the good will of my wife. She only let's me stay on the forums cause she just started a work from home gig and is busy doing that. But no late night phone calls to Verizon, Haha.

Be interesting to hear what some GA stores have to say about anything I don't think I've seen anyone posting anything on the Southern region stores...I don't think...
 
For people who calling VZW stores. Are you just asking them to hold the device for you when it comes out? I just was wondering what I should say to them.
 
I'm going to be "in town" where the VZ store is tomorrow evening. You know I will be stopping by to talk to the mgr, who knows me by now, just says "Not yet" whenever I walk in the door! Hopefully he will SMILE this time instead of looking sad! Hopefully he will hold one for me till I can get there Friday evening! (assuming all this talk about Friday is right!!)
 
Just some confusion in my head, a lot of info coming out today was pointing to next week. Where some of the antics of these trollers lending to the 'next week' rumor mill and this Thurs or Fri is still sounding strong?

BTW I did my obligatory once every 3 days or so call to a corporate store. Nice gal answered and she advised rumor was soon, like first part of this month. I asked (taking advice from some folks here) where these rumors are coming from. Whether internally or externally and she responded....'on forums'. :) FWIW

I just tried it and it works fine are you long pressing the said album then hitting play?

Could it be the ROM your on or are you even rooted?
 
Amazingly, I'm actually shocked the thread didn't degenerate slightly into a "My CSR can beat up your CSR!" argument while I was gone a few hours. I'm proud of you lot. All undesirable trollers aside, I hope the rest of our GNex wait doesn't involve people being put against a wall and frisked to try to prove every speck of speculation they provide. We'll see what's true and what's not in the end. It's a shame that this thread will have to close upon release. I was looking forward to the "How come your store got it and mine didn't?? My CSR lied to me!" portion. But, in all honesty, you are really a great bunch of people and I'm honored to have a fun bunch like you to wait this out with. :D

Seems a lot is popping up that leads many to believe an 8th/9th launch. I guess all we can do now is wait and see if 1. verizon announces something or 2. thur/fri comes and you are able to buy one:D
 
20+ pages since i checked the site earlier so i thought i better post an obligatory test message to see if I survived the ban sentences handed down today.

Is it weird that I had a dream about getting the Galaxy Nexus? I was so depressed when I woke up and it wasn't there :(

I live just 30 minutes away from the NYC Samsung Experience store but I refuse to go there. As much as I want to try out Galaxy Nexus and its Ice Cream Sandwich goodness, I want it to be my very own Galaxy Nexus straight out of the box ;)

To those of you who tried it out at the store, thank you for sharing your experiences/pictures here! It definitely made me want it even more :p

Using hide tags to hide OT posts isn't so bad. You're only one click away from reading something you might have not really cared about :cool:

I'm going to be pissed if people get their phone on the 8th/9th and I miss out because I couldn't have one held for me like all these other stores.

Apparently the western (or northern california) region has not been informed of the 8th/9th thing. Or a lot of people at these other stores are being setup for a huge wasted trip and disappointment.

Who knew somewhere in Oklahoma would get something like this before a city where thousands of people work for a major tech company. :p

Semantics.... Verizon is the exclusive carrier in the US to sell the phone, at a discount, on contract. The ones that are being used are imports and full price. But you know that too....

So, again, I ask. Why worry about an exclusive if it's meaningless to VZ?
