Sorry I should have been more specific - i was mostly responding to the annoyance of not being able to use any phone on any carrier in general.

i think you're probably right about NFC technology - especially since the credit card companies have a major stake in it. Just like AmEx isn't accepted everywhere, I'm sure NFC will eventually, when fully developed, function much in the same way credit cards do now.
 
I don't even feel like I should post in this thread anymore because I have either been called names or ignored. My source has been named in this thread several times, and then his twitter has been bombarded both publicly and via DM's.

So, as my last post in this thread since I am allowed to be hated/name called without repercussions, I will only and again say this. And I am not the xxx.1.xx.1q guy.

If you are very, very lucky, you will have an opportunity to pre-order this week (as I previously posted the week of 12/5), but ultimately the Samsung i515 VZW LTE phone will not release until (AGAIN) the week of 12/12.

personally I think that makes sense. Exclusivity = prestige branding/marketing. smart route if you really want to compete with the iphone.

You keep saying you're ignored, but the truth is that many people respond to you with great support for many of your posts and you almost never reply or acknowledge. That's certainly true in my case and for others.

I'm sorry, but as for your complaint that you're being ignored, that dog don't hunt, and if you find people calling you names that we mods have missed, then please hit the !Report button next to the post so we can deal with it appropriately.

I don't know how you, Pyde, and P3, all claiming to share the same ultimate sourcing, can be off in your assessments. I know that you guys are all good friends, I would like to think that my good friends would stop me from making an asinine statement about "eating my phone" if they knew that it was erroneous.

I realize that in a perfect world, we would take everyone "leaks" and "confirmations" at face value, but as you can see we've had our fair share of trolls. No one means you any offense and if you take it as such then so be it. Thanks for the info you have provided.

It's hard for me to believe that admin at AF let name-calling or mistreatment towards an individual of any kind go unpenalized. Sorry to hear this if it was missed by anyone.

As I was searching the accessory page I had a chat window pop up. I obviously asked about the phone and she said even though it is there under the compatible devices it is not yet out. And I asked when new phones come out when they are put on site. She said 3:00 eastern. Not saying they are gonna be up nor did she but if they were gonna be, it would be in a couple hrs.

After the first time I read that some time back, and after _reading_ every post between three of these successive charges, I found no evidence of that either.

But - no one's perfect, maybe I or we missed something, and that's why mods rely on everyone for reports. ;)
