So, I wear a lab coat around a lot since my brother left it at my house.

I went to the Verizon store 20 minutes ago and I asked about the galaxy nexus, they told me the 9th.

I then went to browse and look at the razr.

A sales lady came up to me placed a Galaxy Nexus on the table. Not even activated yet, it was on wifi. I played with it, it feels so good in the hand and is REALLY thin, the screen looks AMAZING. The sound however... Oh man I'm glad I got to hold it! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Anyway, she then preceded to ask where I work and if I want to go out sometime.
I'm 15 years old and I guess look old for my age? I just kinda smiled and changed subject.

Anyway, she put me down on reserve, gave me a business card, and then wrote her personal phone # on the back.
Maybe she was messing with me?

The 9th is definitely it and damn if I don't try to talk her into it early. They got their shipments.

Been wanting the Galaxy Nexus, but I'm on AT&T with unlimited data.

I went to go get the Skyrocket today and had terrible customer service, it was so bad that it broke out in to an argument :rolleyes: In the long run, I still don't have a phone.


Anyways, I noticed that Verizon is offering 4GB of data plus a free personal email for $30.00 :D 450 min/ 1000 texts / 4GB data for $79.99 (Current bill with AT&T Unlim data $98 inc tax) (I use 2-3GB max a month)

SHOULD I GET OUT OF AT&T? I'd lose out on HSPA+, but I'm sure I'd get treated better....
 
Just asked my Corporate Store rep:

" Will you have the Galaxy Nexus on Friday?"

"Yes we will and when you come in ask for XXXXXX"

She said they will have plenty in stock.

BOOM. THIS. IS . IT!

Verizon will treat you no better. If you are happy with ATT stay with them.
 
So no preorder then I take it? If orders start Thursday midnight then that probably means online orders be delivered to next week...grrr. Perhaps I have to sneak out of work early to nab one at the store.
 
Will a corporate store let you buy the phone in the box and walk out the door without them doing all of the setup? I'd like to have the unboxing experience and activate everything myself.
 
The people that are getting appointments are really lucky. I've called a bunch of stores out here near me(near Palm Springs, CA) and all I get are people that sound REALLY annoyed.:rolleyes: I've tried setting up an appointment to get the phone and they say they can't do that. Well, I guess I'll be at my local store before it opens on Friday.

Okay my turn... Just got the call from the guy I buy all my stuff from at my Verizon Corp store and he said they just got them in. He said he is not sure if they can sell it to me tomorrow or the next day. He said he would let me know in the morning. I am just glad to know that they have them and one is mine. I am hoping I get one on Thursday early, but with that last leak showing the 9th that would be cool too. The finish line is here.
 
Just got a call from Sales Rep who took my name down last week. He told me their district manager is making them setup appointments for Nexus, and since I was #3 on the list that I could come in at 9 am so I m guessing that guarantees me one unless they only get two. Good luck to everyone else.
