I can't imagine having a tough time getting a hold of this device. The general public doesn't know or care about the Nexus. The Rezound and the RAZR are getting all the big marketing pushes from VZW.
 
Got "the" call from my Verizon contact today. My name is already on a phone. No lines for me. I pick it up Friday @ 8am. ( my choice). WOO HOO!!!

Doubt it, maybe tomorrow, but considering Verizon's attitude toward the phone, I wouldn't be surprised if it releases without a peep. If there were going to some sort of widespread marketing campaign around the phone, we would have seen some evidence of it by now.

All their press releases have gone like this......we have come out with this that we are very excited about, we will be releasing this that is an amazing device....................and oh ya the nexus prime will come out sometime this year.
 
Appointment made for 9 a.m. Friday... Oh. Yes. Didn't ask them if they had it, just told them I wanted to use my upgrade for the Nexus on Friday, unless they could sell them Thursday. No can do on Thursday...but they did confirm a go for Friday...

I don't have any friends who have such a passion for technology as I do, and when I try to explain it to my parents they tune out :/ Sort of annoying, but at least I have this thread full of awesome people who understand me!

was able to set up an appointment for the nearest one to me at 9am also. i let him know the gentleman that i purchased the rezound from. i let the guy know up front that unless i fell head over heels for it, that i would come back and replace it with the nexus. full disclosure. :)

I just checked out the trade in value of my beautiful, perfectly working OG droid. Not so much as a scratch on the screen even. They offer me $16.00. An insult I say! I will keep my baby as a back up. But I still want my gnex. GIMMEE! I am off work until after Christmas due to surgery so I can be patient and wait until Friday.
 
Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy. I need to get off this thread before I get overwhelmed with the sheer speed of these posts! I swear this is over the internet speed limit ;)
