Just ordered my diztronic case in matte black. I'm soo excited, guys! Like many of you, my siblings are convinced I've gone off the deep end over this phone. I hope to get some credibility back once I'm holding the precious in my hands. ;) ;p

And thanks to all of you who posted pics and gave your opinions in regards to the case. Those factored heavily in my decision.

My coworkers always drop by to see if I have an update for them on this phone. They know its suppose to be a good phone from the news I tell them. some already have good smartphones but want to see the phone. :)

So no word on pre-orders? I won't be able to get one until Monday if I can't get it sent. Noooooooooooooooo!
Ditto.

I'll be near a store Thursday. I've already called them and they say it will be on sale Friday. When I get there I will give them my best big, blue eyed teary story about living to far to come back on Friday and I need the phone NOW, but I'm not hopeful.

I'm really, really hoping for a midnight preorder tonight for a Thur/Fri delivery.

is anyone else able to get to the same page that was screenshot in the OP here (the equipment guide that has the GNex?). I would like to see it for myself but can't find it.

Anyway, I stopped into my local corporate VZW store on the way home from work, the employees knew nothing and was shocked when I said Dec 9th. They said that date is doubtful since they haven't received anything about it yet (other than a training email they just got today). Regardless, the rep took my name and number and said that they will hold one for me whenever it is released.

They also said that they will only hold a total of 10 for people (I was #2 on the list) so if nothing else, it might be worth it to get you name on a hold list just in case your store has a similar hold policy.

Woohoo, I am setting an appt now! I called at 4 and they said they had no info, I call now and they are like yep, on the 9th. (Happy Dance).

you cant get to the page, its internal to vzw systems

Do you need a Costco membership to use their wireless booths? I know with their pharmacy you don't need a membership!

The mobile hotspot feature is for transmitting a 4g signal to others, not recieving. Your are already paying for receiving data when you set the phone up.

Been waiting for a long while to switch to Galaxy Nexus, this forum has renewed my faith. Ditching the I-fruit for the best 4G phone out there on Verizon. Saturday went into Verizon Corporate store and the salesmen told me January. I emailed him today saying so I can pick my phone up on Friday. This is his Corporate response. No launch date as of yet..... But the phones showed up today, so I would say very soon! I will let you know for sure! They are here in the desert of Tucson...:)

You would think, but no. You are paying for the phone's data usage only. Any data used by other devices is considered an additional charge.

Hey everyone! Long-time lurker of this thread. Figured I'd come out of hiding. I have a question though...

I've always had Verizon activate my phones in store. But like most of you, I want to activate the GNex myself. Coming from an OG and no SIM card, how do I do this? Call a number for activation?

I didn't miss you Porcelain! It's great to have you! :)

If you're pre-ordering, the phone will come with activation instructions. If you're in the store and want no one else to touch it (like ME), then do your best and have the sales rep standing at their computer, doing their thing, there to help if you get stuck.

guys p3 didn't say the battery door is the same size with the extended one, he just said cases still fit from the normal door. Meaning the size difference is minimal enough so that cases still fit, sorta like the extended battery on the droid x.

So with all of us being able to set appts this has to be by far the softest launch in Verizon history. Not even a quick press release.
