No word from any Bay Area locations yet, it seems. I've called many of them today and none of them know anything. But they all seemed frightened and nervous when I asked them today. Before today, everyone I asked had a quick "We don't know a date yet. Looks to be pushed back until next year" response. Today, they all seemed shocked when I asked, and got nervous real quick. Hmmm

My understanding is that the launcher will behave as it normally does. That behavior will be controlled by the launcher. Yes?
 
Arent the Steinheil Crystal screen protectors suppose to be the best (as far as being close to glassy feel).

Doesnt seem like their out yet.

They are very nice. Best is up to the individual. They are the best I've used even though it was only for a month.
 
Just checked eBay on accessories. As someone who ordered 6 screen protectors for his Incredible for $1.99 and they turned out to be legit, I'd suggest checking them out. There are all kinds of chargers, car docks, skins, and cases listed. I'm personally going to hold off for a week or two, but if you are going to order, make sure you order from those who have the 'Top Seller' icon next to the item. Very trustworthy and you're sure to get what you paid for!
 
Anyone have any luck with stores in the Western NY area? I stopped at my closest corporate store (Webster) around 5:30 and the guy swore it wouldnt be out on Friday but you could tell he was very uncomfortable and more than likely told to say theat..he did admit to accessories being there.

trying to decide whether i should do that myself. canal st. opens at 10 as well, and it really is so much closer, but...
 
Shipping logistic I think plays a roll in why folks in the east and south and some midwest have confirmed they have received shipment while many in the west have not. Coming from Korea means the cargo ships will port in LA, SF, SEA etc and then you will want to ship to your stores furthest from there first.

My store specifically said they get in their weekly shipment on Thursday (Seattle) and I would imagine VZW will only make a PR when they can confirm (most/all/90%/whatever) # of stores have their stock. If something bad logistically happens but they already made an announcement imagine the outrage and backlash they would get from certain areas.

west burbs here, will be going to the Carol stream / Wheaton store.

If the launch is Friday I may try to go just before close on thursday and see if maybe I bought the car and media docks and some screen protectors too they could get me one early. of course if I have to come back friday night they may lose that comission...

If I go friday night and they're sold out and dont know when they will get new stock, I will have a seizure right there on the verizon sales floor.
 
I just called my Verizon store and the rep, Jacob, said that they have received a vast amount of shipment in and are being told that the release date is this Friday, December 9th. However he was not sure on when the pre-order starts but said verizonwireless.com will have the news first.


It's actually releasing!!!!!!!

Personally, I believe the phones have been sitting in warehouses here in the states for a long time. They are not all coming from Korea right now. They've been sitting. a long, long time.

I'm too afraid that if I pester these stores any more they'll get really upset with me haha. They can tell I'm super eager to get my hands on this phone already, but... :)

I'm an Ohian, but in the Youngstown area not Akron so you don't have to worry about me competing with you.
