I'm SO excited!!!

Off Topic: can anyone familiar with Monty Python please PM me? I have a question I would like to ask anyone familiar with the movie. It would really help me out. Thanks!!!!

Yeah I'm hoping it will be able to handle 720p MKV for TV shows and such. I would much rather watch some things on my phone from bed than stay downstairs and watch it on the DVR...time will tell on this I guess.
 
Alright guys stopped by my local corporate store on the way home tonight. I asked when the Galaxy Nexus would be available. The polite girl told me that is was the Nexus Prime and probably the end of this week. I then said, " Are you sure it's is the Nexus Prime, I'm pretty sure it is the Galaxy Nexus." She insisted the Nexus Prime and looked at me like I was a fool. Anyways just thought I would share my story and I'm excited to hopefully get my "Nexus Prime"....

I asked the guy if they had a list, he said they did. He took my name and phone number and said he would call later to set up an appointment. After he entered everything into the system he said, without thinking, "Talk to you in a couple of days." So here's hoping :)

you aint lying, i will rinse and repeat tomorrow and maybe get a more favorable outcome, or better yet hopefully we get a PR and pre-order announcement and i wont have to

Agreed. Exynos has no issues with MKV but OMAP doesn't have a good track record with MKV.

I'm in Shelby Township. Nothing on the east side either. I called the one in Troy and the one in Oakland mall then headed east. No dice.

Well after a few years with my LG Chocolate (yes it has that sweet flip feature no longer available...), and several weeks of lurking, I can't wait to get the Gnex. Only issue now is making sure that the stores in my area have enough in stock!
 
Been a member since OG Droid but mostly lurk... just called 3 stores, one knew of the phone and said it would be released soon... another said they didn't know anything about it (sounded scared)... and a las vegas area store (where i will most likely be on friday) said it was likely when i asked if it was releasing this week... i got that reps name and he will be getting my commission from 2 new phones and an addition of a second line...

My "Guy" at the corporate store apparently isn't. He is giving me the whole "no release date yet" deal. I texted him back "Really? FYI other Corp. Stores are setting appointments for Thrusday/Friday and others are confirming Friday release". His response? "I'll double check, but that is what my manager told me". Keep in mind he is the head sales guy there. Nice guy for sure, must be under some sort of threat by management not to say anything. If I don't hear from him by 9:00 AM on Friday, then I'll pick one up at the corp store right next to my work (rather than picking up that evening with him).

You would think at least one of us being from opposite sides would be able to get some information lol, I'm gonna try again tomorrow and see what I can get. I'll stick with the west u do the east hahaha!!

Same thing here at my store #1. Numbers 2 and 3 call it just Nexus.

Welcome! If you get a nice salesperson they will sometimes waive the fee if you ask real nice.
