Root installing swype on cm7?

I have tried every tip i can find. Anyone know a working version. (And install method)
I tried the one that Came stock. Beta (newest), djdarkknight versions. And manual install for each version (apk & lib) .

Stock. Installs manually no prob, even opens ... but when. U try to swype a word it gives incompatability. Warning... all other versions mentioned. Just fc (and show up as a 3rd party keyboard)

I'm becoming very frustrated as my fat fingers are no match for the. 'Vail s small screen

(I know there. Is a similar. Thread in main prevail page... just figured atr section was better place for it considering. Root is very super basic request for cm7.

If someone could post compatable apk & lib versions it would be much appreciated

Mind sharing your SPECIFIC install process including which beta you r using?
Was feeling much less noobish until trying to make this work

Edit :got djdarkknight keyboard to pop up... but just says try again when u swype something

we already told u the way to do it. It just seems that you are having issues. We are showing u exactly what we did, but youre basically telling everyone who has it working that the install process is wrong. Well.... we all did it that way. And there really was no need for another thread..
 
Damn. Sorry i ****ing asked. I know i am the one missing something. T hat is the whole reason i am. On this site. I was hoping someone could point out WHY I'm an idiot. Not reiterate to me that i am infact an idiot.

i wasnt being mean about it, im just saying everybody keeps saying how they did it and u keep asking again, so maybe if it doesnt work for you u should do a fresh install because nobody else is really having issues at all. u shouldnt need to mess with any of the phones files AT ALL, just install the apk. maybe something u changed unknowingly is effecting ur way of installing it now, without knowing what you did in the system and data folders, theres not much we can do for u instead of saying start fresh if its really that important to you to have swype, which i know it is for me.
 
fresh install and I got beta up and running! :D I travel for work, and have no lap top. I have had no access to my files. I had even formatted my partitions and reinstalled everything with no luck. But as usual hail Odin. Thank you everyone for your patience. I have been here lurking and learning since shortly after shabby .6 the Prevail is my first smart phone and the initial root was done by someone else with no explanation of y. Since I have modded 5 other prevails. 2 motorola triumphs. A sidekick, and a optimus m that was 2.2.2 I have truly learned so much from everyone here and an just now beginning to feel comfortable adding any input. Thank you so much everyone who has contributed to the development of this phone. I recently compared mine to one that was stock and I could hardly tell they were the same phone. You are the reason that Android is even worth having. Keep up the good work!

Odin'd to stock, flashed ROM, installed beta (by clicking as an app)
Bam-worked as user app,

Later copied to sd card, extracted libs, placed libs in /system/lib.
Moved Swype from /data/app to/system/app, rebooted. And been fine ever since (as system app)

Wow this thread is a flash back to good old shabbymod times.

I'm assuming that only the swype beta works on CM7. I haven't really tried it but I might as well download and see if it works for me.

You would think you can just use the stock swype.apk or the one included in CTMOD.
