***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Nifty. Kinda like the rather minor difference between the GSM and LTE versions of the phone. Not that much thicker. Might be the first time I ever pick up an extended battery for a phone.. always hated how the thicker battery and the door ruined the natural lines of the cellphone. Not to mention how it would make it more difficult to get out of a pocket.

Indeed. The only ext batteries I've bought for 1 Eris and 2 Inc's are the ones that allow you to keep the stock back plate. I tried the larger one on my Inc for 30 seconds and immediately returned it.

Hi all. I need your help. A LONG time ago on this forum I asked this question but I can't remember if anyone answered... It was that long ago, haha.
As I've mentioned, my only Android experience has been through Sense UI and one thing I love is when you're browsing the internet and you pinch to zoom the screen reformats the text so you don't have to scroll side. Do we know if the nexus will do that or just zoom in like IOS? Thanks.

On a side note: I have grown to refresh this thread more than I do the website in the past 3 days! The Thread has more news (credible or not) than Verizon ever does which proves huge corporations like Verizon are nothing without consumer communities like this 1!!

i thought it's 2100 mah?

2100-1850= :)

gah N'd!

My local news just reported that Samsung "released" their new phone the Galaxy Nexus, but Verizon refused Google wallet because it is not secure enough YET.

I was so surprised to see the phone made my local (Albany) news AND that the news falsely reported that the phone was already released. Figures.

And Verizon didn't refuse to allow Google Wallet because of security, it was because it competes directly with their own ISIS payment system that will "eventually" be available

So I just stopped in at the Best Buy down the street from my house to pick up a Kindle and a Nook. As I was leaving the store I had to stroll through the mobile area to see if there were any traces of the Nexus, but there were none to be found. As I was about to leave, the mobile manager stopped and said, "So what time are you coming in Friday?". I just got a big grin on my face and told him I would be in when they open and then asked if they could hold one for me. He laughed and said that they already had one with my name written on it.

Friday is the New Christmas.

Someone else actually lives up in this terrible place? You hear anything in the area about stores getting stock? I'm thinking Colonie Center is the place to go. Lower foot traffic.

I'm just glad that I won't be down there competing with my (former) fellow New Jersey people. With 13 years in Edison, NJ, 3 years in Freehold, NJ, and 8 years in New Brunswick, NJ, I've had enough of fighting the Jersey crowds for a lifetime.

It will text reflow according to the browser vid's I've seen so yes

EDIT: and it probably has the option to use text reflow or not. Just a guess

The million dollar question is do I spring for the extended battery day 1 or try the stock one out first? I wonder how much weight/thickness it adds.

You're lucky you have a BB employee who knows something about what they do... every time I go to BB and ask about the Nexus or call them they're like "we have the Nexus S on AT&T".

NO.

Isn't anyone else concerned about the change from 12/9 to "Coming Soon" in the Equipment Guide?

Unless we get new proof of this change, I'm not worried. Plus, Verizon themselves said it's only "Coming Soon" so maybe the release date was just accidentally leaked on the Equipment Guide to begin with.

I called my local store here in Chicago's SW burbs and basically had to brow-beat the poor kid who answered the phone. I guess when you start the conversation with "I know X, Y, and Z, so don't you DARE lie to me..." you get your point across quickly. He seemed very nervous to confirm anything and stated "We don't give out information on our stock numbers." I was confused, I didn't ask for a number of stock. I asked if I could have my phone on Friday.

He asked how I knew all of this, to which I replied "Not everyone in your company thinks this should be held secret. I know what the internet is." I had my fun at his expense...consider it payback for lying to me earlier in the day!
