Off to bed for the night. Off work tomorrow so I'm going to head over to my local VZW and try to pry some info out of a rep. I'll report back if I get anything.

So I finally had the willpower to simply leave for an hour. I'm assuming I haven't missed anything significant, so I'm here to say good night!

P.S. the days left according to my countdown timer is... ONE! (and 23 hours, but still! WE'RE FINALLY IN THE HOME STRETCH EVERYONE!!!)
 
fyi to anyone in Minneapolis:

The Nicollet Verizon Store in the downtown skyway changed their hours and is now open at 7am M-F. I plan to snipe my gnex right before my 8am all day meeting.
 
I just read the Bionic forum from AC right before the launch. Funny how much it sounds like this one! So, yeah... PR very early on 9/7 for launch on 9/8. There were a few comments about people getting telesales to "presell" them one on 9/7 to be received on 9/8. But not everyone was able to make that happen and not sure if any of those people actually received them on 9/8. This is very much starting to look like how the Bionic was released.

The funniest part was people reporting waiting in front of the stores at 7am, 8am, 9am... and being the only people there! I wonder if, despite everyone here thinking that this going to be huge, we find the same thing come Friday?

That's one thing I'm interested in, too. I have an early work meeting from 7-9 on Friday but then get a break from 9-2, so I was planning on going and picking it up after that. I'm wondering how many people are actually planning on getting this bad boy. I kind of hope there's no advertising for it pre-Friday, that way I shouldn't have to fight the crowds and rush. Whaddaya think?
