If they are holding out again.....20 bucks says its to SCREW all the renters who think they are getting another upgrade after owning rezounds and razors for the last couple weeks.

Anger rising, rising...

off topic, but that is a great song by Jerry Cantrell, from Alice In Chains.

I'll post a copy of my receipt from telesales, whenever they send me one. They assured me the extended battery and case would be here on Friday. Expecting an email soon.

Does the extended battery come with a different back door?

Folks, if this phone was releasing on the 8th, we would have a press release today. We would have reps saying "YES! Come in tomorrow and buy a phone from me!" But we don't. We have no PR, we have reps saying it isn't launching on the 9th and some saying they have no stock. It is not releasing this week anymore. Let's face it, we've been Verizon'd again.

You guys notice how yesterday when everyone got the confirmation of the 9th, all of the sources online nearly blew up at once?

And you notice today when Kellex posted the "Not the 9th" info, nobody else has run with it yet?

Yeah...like I said...everyone relax...no need to freak out just yet.

The problem is that your only frustrated and annoyed because you read tech sites/blogs and believe these "confirmed" sources. Like the WSJ, who are correct roughly 1 out of 10 times they leak a tech story.

I want the phone as much as anyone, but harassing people who don't have information or can't share that information because they would lose their jobs is sort of selfish.

The day/week isn't over yet. Maybe it will happen, no one really knows.

Heck one of my best friends confirmed to me that he placed an order for them yesterday. They showed in his system as both "in stock" and "available". (He is a reseller) but that really doesn't mean anything. However 15 minutes prior to that he had sent me a message like. "It isn't happening this week." Followed with .. "Ok, well maybe it is, I just ordered some and they show as available"

My guess is, if they ship phones to resellers early you can call around and you will most likely find one who will sell you the phone regardless of official street date.

I understand your point/s and appreciate your response however you still haven't answered my question. What do you suggest we do to let Verizon Execs know we're frustrated right now and could really use something from them? I'm assuming you're saying we should do nothing and be quiet and just wait....

Verizon'd is the new word guys. Get ready to use it OFTEN.

For those that missed the update on the story -

The screen going nuts on the Nexus after the update was traced to a bad USB cable.

Many of you with other phones may have experienced the same issues when cheap cables are used without shielding/wiring.

~~~~~~
Droid-Life reported that the launch may be delayed, but that this might be rumor and that it was best to keep that idea on the down low.
They have not updated their article.
Nonetheless, other blogs are running it as fact.
~~~~~~~~

Some here are reporting that their local stores are pulling back on the release date of the 9th.

The facts on this are still emerging.

It's a tough beginning to the day, and I'm proud of everyone who keeps their language in check and doesn't succumb to going after each other's throats now.

The full facts here will reveal themselves shortly - as they always have.

Meanwhile, to get to the facts ourselves, I am asking that if you have been confirmation of your Friday purchase, if you want to contact anyone, please contact only that store. Flooding all stores with calls will simply rob others of their ability to buy a phone easily - not everyone wants or can afford the Nexus and they deserve service today as much as you do.

So, I'm asking - please call just your store if you were promised Friday and report back on your results.

It'll be a rough day for a while, but I'm counting on everyone here to pull together as a team. I know you all can, I've seen you do it - we need that now more than ever.

Thank you!

This announcement may repeat on upcoming pages until we know more or until the wrong info sparked by a bad USB cable dies out.

If it is they get IDIOT of the year award.

I would bet the ONE video is due to a bad USB cable and nothing to do with the phone.

My G1 performs exactly the same way when I use ANY USB charger that isn't the official HTC one that came with it.

So yes, bad/cheap/improperly grounded USB cable for sure.

We may never know if it's really a delay or if they never intended the phone to be out this week, but hopefully we will get to the bottom of it, because if it's the latter, I am about fed up with the epidemic of reporting inaccurate news based on circumstantial evidence and unconfirmed reports and rumors, not just here, but all over the net when it comes to cell phone journalism.

I think it was intended to come out on the 9th, from that screen shot leaked yesterday that has now changed to "coming soon". I think this delay is all Verizon, not necessarily jumping the gun on the bloggers' part. If you get an internal memo from Verizon that flatly states December 9, why wouldn't you post it?

What if its pre-order on the 9th for delivery next week? Would that make you guys and gals happy?

No. . .I don't think so. If I don't have it in my hand this weekend, I think I'll be going with TP.

If they are holding out again.....20 bucks says its to SCREW all the renters who think they are getting another upgrade after owning rezounds and razors for the last couple weeks.

If that's the case it will have to be delayed another month as the holiday return period doesn't end until 1/15.

The equipment shipments/leaks were very encouraging, but seriously. It's wednesday december 7th and there has been no announcement from Verizon. Did you guys really think it was going to release this week?

I have no idea what Verizon is thinking, except that they're trying desperately to make people buy the RAZR. Either way, earliest possible release would be next week, and there's no real reason to think it won't be delayed even further.
