Hahah @ P3Droid thinking anyone should feel bad that he's "packing up".

He straight up said (paraphrasing) that anyone who was complaining about not having a Nexus could get bent because he already has one.

He can piss off.

No he was actually telling that to all the people complaining about the date being pushed back who were trolling the **** out of him.

Anyone remember a few months when we thought the iPhone 5 was coming out, cases were reported to be shipping to the stores? This is starting to sound like the Gnex here

I sure hope people are right about Friday being the release date. It's like we take 2 steps forward and then something happens to push us 1 step back.

Also, I need to share something with you guys that WILL cheer you up. Let me preface this by saying I'm a metal guy and don't get into funk, but something about this song makes me extremely happy every time I hear it. Oh and the music video is great.

Trust me. Listen to this song. Watch the video. You'll feel a lot better. Oh and turn it up.

Okay for the unlimited data thing is there a way I could get in on that when I still have a dumb phone? I have an Original Samsung Alias...stop laughing. The GNex is going to be my first smartphone.

right, but even when it was returning the general accessories, you could scroll down through the "compatible devices" tab and see the nexus listed there with a broken picture, and even that is no longer there

My guess, is that verizon found out about the accessory search and plugged the leak. But, 'tis only a guess. Who knows the real story.

I've been thinking... Let's just we get delayed a few days or a week or so. Right?

It makes me feel good and all warm inside that we have another week with each other, enjoying each other's company and banter. I have grown very, very fond of all you folks. Seriously. :)
I love you and most of the people on the forum (although that Chief guy sure rubs me the wrong way and don't get me started about that avatar girl and the star wars guy :)) but I'd gladly give up a week of great fellowship for a SGN in my hand today.

Give Mrs. 58 my best and hope she feels well soon.

GREAT article by Jerry Hildenbrand over at Android Central just now. Basically describing how everyone that is freaking out that the Nexus isn't a "Nexus" device anymore is wrong. And for those of you who don't know, Jerry is a HUGE nerd and a hacker, so him saying that gives that opinion a lot more weight. Great read, check it out.

Editorial: Is the Verizon Galaxy Nexus really a Nexus? You betcha

Just had the worst customer service experience with a Verizon manager. Basically, I wad told to go "f" myself. Last night I called about still getting the low app space error on my Incredible after build 4.08. The tech couldn't find anything about the issue. She was really good, but she told me just to factory restore it. I said it was pretty sad that people on the internet knew more than the techs. I also complained about the joke the Nexus launch had become. He chewed me out for even asking. I mean his attitude was horrible towards me. Anyone got the executive leadership page link?

Guys, its not being cancelled. Period. It's already categorized as an Iconic Device. Verizon doesn't do that for just any phone, ie the Rezound. You can go to the Iconic ordering page and see for yourself, the Rezound isn't there. That being said, I just got back from a visit to my corporate Verizon location. The lady that helped me said they had the Nexus in stock, they've all been trained, and its coming out Friday. I specifically asked if there was a delay, due to the 4G problems she'd already acknowledged, or something else and she said no. She was excited when explaining all this to me and when the manager came over she smiled at him and said, "We've got another one asking about the Nexus." This thing is coming guys, just a few more days. :)

Was this the Polaris location?

For those of you discussing the sim cards, there are no sim cards preinstalled in the phones. They are installed at activation. So it's just a matter of getting a new batch of cards, no phone swapping is needed.

Right, but if they are waiting for said new batch of cards, that would explain the delay in the release, no?
