He didn't respond. I have reason to resent him, but I let that go.

You see, his character and behavior has brought him to where he is now. How we respond indicates what is in our nature and character. I prefer to take the high road in this, bless him and even pray for him. I hope that you all would consider my request that you treat him with a respect that perhaps is more and indication of the quality of your character than of what he actually deserves. Think about it. It's good for the soul to take the high road.

Taking the high road is more characteristic of the tenor of this thread. We are not mean-spirited and vengeful here. Here we are loving and familial. We've proved that over and over. Let's do it again. Okay?

I think i remember you saying you were a pastor? Of which denomination eludes me, but whichever it is, if they're all as considerate and level headed and kind as you, it's a warm and inviting one.

P3 is dumb and some jest is inevitable and fair. He is facing his karma. I think it's best we not create our own bad karma by revelling in his public embarrassment too much.


Yup Elle has gone all zen today. Not sure why, you'd think I'd be cranky pants from finals! ;)
 
Wow, Steven. I have been a lurker on this thread for quite some time, but I really wanted to commend you for that post. It takes a lot to come out and say something like that, and I think it really says something about this site and this group. You really do deserve each of the kind words that so many have said about you.

Steven - I respect you and everything... but it's the internet.

I'll be just like you and take the high road, but I could not care less if people go after him. When you work in this business or go the route he did, it's fair game. This one is on an individual's morals. If a group of people want him to look like a fool for the rest of his life, so be it. I don't go on those pages for a reason.

On the internet there is only one road. It is here to bring all sorts of people together for this discussion. I knew what I was getting into when I signed up, so should he.

With that being said, I retracted the little comment about phone eating that I made a little bit ago as it could have been a bit over the line, a cheap shot I guess. Sorry all, even p3 :o

Unfortunately, I agree. Completely. It is my nature and upbringing to treat someone as they have treated me in the past. However I have also vowed to abandon teachings that I know were not in my best interest.

Mocking someone who deserves it will not bring you peace or happiness. No one is perfect, if you can't offer said person your condolences, then bite your tongue and refrain from saying anything at all. He's been punished already. There is no need to carry it beyond that.

I talked to the one in the vista ridge mall area... although i think there are several corporate and non corporate stores in that shopping center. Was going to hit them up and the ones in north Arlington, near my office.

In this season of giving, I think we can all agree that we have received a great deal of enjoyment, entertainment and information from what started as a single Pre-Release post on August 23rd. We are now past 68,000 posts in this thread, the receiving is just about over… and it’s high time we gave something back.

Wow....what a TRULY deserving recognition! Steven, you have been incredibly classy yet fun in doing the difficult job that you've done! I know it hasn't been easy but what a great job you've accomplished! Keep up the great work!

(I hope your wife gets to feeling better soon!)

Lastly....what a classy way for those that put this together, to show respect for him...good job!
