I think he was just trying to be honest. He can't in good conscience say "everyone needs to calm down, we should all be nice to P3" because he fully understands why some people wouldn't want to be. I think ultimately, the included image ("Love your enemies. No exceptions.") sums it up well. Is P3 a jackass sometimes? Yes. Could it be reasonably argued that he deserves the barrage that he's gotten? Maybe.

But does that mean any one of us should actually do it? Does that make it the "right thing to do"? No, it does not. That, I think, was Steven's point.

Stevens conciseness got the best of him, he felt guilty about the general direction of the forums attitude towards P3. I am not speaking for him I am just trying to convey what I think his agenda was and that was to very polite way to ask everyone to forgive P3 for his harsh personality, and not continue to bash.

It takes a lot of humility to admit his past mistakes, it's even harder to forgive someone when they don't reciprocate.

BlueBiker I commend you for going against the grain and speaking your mind about what you feel is the truth. It takes a big set a kahunas to disagree with the crowd and speak ill against a beloved one.
 
You know some are saying the 13th but me? I still am holding out, at the latest, for the best buy on the 11th. Just wondering how much its going to cost me. Best Buy is a crappy place to work and their sales people dont get commission. Thats got to work in my favor for a nexus. Right?
But hopefully it doesn't resort to that. Hopefully Costco or Radio Shack ignore memos or simply don't get them.

That's a good way to put it. He wasn't trying to minimize our feelings towards P3. He was fully recognizing those feelings, and even admitting that he feels them himself.. then asking us to forgive P3 even despite those feelings. And that's why it took so much courage to post it in the first place.
 
What do you guys think are the chances we clear six digits in post counts before this thing drops?

Edit: Also I just realized I haven't congradulated Steven yet. Congrats buddy, you deserve every nex of that nexus and more. A great phone for a great mod. Thanks for all you've done for the forum.
 
Finished 1 problem in 2 1/2 hours. Good thing this final isn't tomorrow, I'd be screwed. /OT

I'm starting to let myself have a little bit of hope that Friday might still happen. My rep said as of 7pm they didn't have official confirmation that the date was no longer Friday but would text me if he did get confirmation before he left work (9ish). Never got the text, so maybe JUST maybe Verizon is trying to "Third Riech" this release and was trying to stop the leaks. Bums me out to know that the phones are sitting in the back of the store with no knowledge of when I could walk out with one.
 
The last rep I spoke with told me to call her at 9am CST and she would tell me what the meeting was about. It will probably be on twitter before I dial.
