How are they even holding the meetings. Upper-level managers have to know what is going to be said at the meetings and it is likely that they already leaked some information to their workers, right?

I ordered the Transformer Prime from Amazon and no cancellation for me. I ordered the "champagne" one though.

Yeah, I did a preorder with Amazon too (grey 64GB) but didn't get a cancellation. I'm scared to check my email to see if I also get the dreaded cancellation. :o

If you do get in Jan., I'm sure ICS will be on it to start, so a good way to start with your TP.

Are you 100% sure? Not doubting you but I figured this was a bigger meeting with word from higher ups than just a store-wide meeting. Unless store managers got word last night and had the meeting this morning to inform employees.

I still don't think they don't have a definite date after a definite date of the 9th and 3 weeks before the end of the year. Just something doesn't feel right.

Still fingers crossed for a phone in my hands tomorrow.

EDIT: It only took 11 days to hit 30,000 posts... so maybe 100k is a bit high (unless Nexus is delayed another 11 days). I'd rather have a Nexus than 100k posts any day!

We've been average around a 1/2 day per 1k around here, the 30k more may take longer than we have. UNLESS of course, the insane posting that occurs after official announcement is similar to the 11/18 day, and last for a full 2 or 3 days...

I am HOPING we don't hit 100k!!
 
Despite all my sadness, I think I'm just going to walk into a store tomorrow head held high and hope they stick to what I heard yesterday :/

Probably no nexus for any of us till next week tho

Sadly, just called the three corp. stores in DC and all came back with NOTHING. Honestly, all three seemed a bit peeved. I asked the last CSR if they've gotten a lot of calls about the Nexus and she just basically sighed "yeaaaahhh".
Basically the same sigh I make each time I unlock the screen on my Bionic. :rolleyes:

I am as well and its been 3 weeks here...but hoping it will be tomorrow, my kids are complaining.

I have not called our local corp store, but honestly have not heard anyone talking about it anywhere, including several times that I stopped into the corp store to see how the R Phones felt before I made a final decision. Middle of the Central Coast of Cali, and most of the people that we know are so utterly ifans, its hard to have a decent conversation about anything tech related....
However, like I said about 200+ pages ago, my wife is so fed up with me talking about this phone, she is about as anxious as I am to have it released already....Keeps telling me to just get it already!!!

Congrats to Mr 58...Well Deserved!!! (and quite jealous) Hope your wife is doing better today.

And thanks to all the Mods for keeping this thread a (somewhat/mostly) sane place to hang out and wear out my F5....

OT Comp Stuff
I have been building, servicing and maintaining home build comp systems for more than 15 years, for family, friends and myself...
My most recent build was about 2 months ago, installed a new home server with quadcore 2.8ghz (overclocked to quadcore 4.1ghz, 8gb DDR3, Email, Print and Web server, as well as a Media Center for our home. Running WHS 2011 and, virtually, win 7 on the 3 other systems in our home. NAS and internal HD top 38tb system wide. I also maintain a family-tree website that lets our family keep photos, stories and records that our research has been able to track our family back to the early 1500s.
Keep up the OT Comp Stuff, always fun to see what other people are using and doing with it!!

The only thing I'm 100% sure of is what my local stores have consistently told me. There is one more store that's in a different time zone it's on my time. They open in 10 minutes the rep at this store said to call her at 9 when they open and she would tell me what the meeting was about.

I disagree. If there hadn't been leaks I would still be upset that a phone that was hyped (not by Verizon, I know) in October was still not out yet when other parts of the world and even Canada had it already. The leaks just fan the flames.

Hysterical! I make that same sigh when I open my Bionic. I've tried to make believe it's a Nexus, but that hasn't been working out too well for me.
 
Called my local corporate store near Philadelphia. Said I heard a rumor that the Galaxy Nexus was being released tomorrow and if so, can I set up an appointment to pick it up. The salesperson said that there was no specific launch date yet, but added it was NOT being released tomorrow. I was hoping for a nervous giggle or an audible wink, but no such luck.
 
Okay Verizon - ball is in your court.

4g is fixed. Are we going to blame it on something else? Let me guess... some stores haven't received their shipment? Google Wallet? Reps aren't trained enough yet?

I think it's time to release the phone. Let the baby go. We will take care of it with all of our heart! Your move, big red.
 
I was in the Google+ Hangout with Matias yesterday. He had a PR person off camera reigning him in so he couldn't say much regarding the Verizon/Galaxy Nexus catastrophe. He said they weren't happy with the situation at all and hopes that it will be released soon.

I sort of have to disagree with this. In our case, the 'magician' never told us anything. The 'magician' never lied to us. This analogy is wrong in that sense, methinks.

I'm not saying it's a bad phone, I've just become so obsessed with the Nexus (even before I got my Bionic). ICS ROMs are on their way, I'm just using Liberty for the moment with the HC GoLauncher skin. It really does everything I want it to, but I miss all the fast development and ROMing of my Droid. :(
