Your rep was P3Droid. Oh, the irony

Yeah, I'm probably not going to be asking her for any more info at this point. I don't think she's sweating it out, or else she would have told me. Also, what she tells me is the same info that like 25 to 50 other people have, so it's not traceable, I don't think.
But probably best to be on the safe side.
I'd take my pics down from the "Who are you" thread, but I can't edit.
Guys can I get my $50 loyalty credit from a place like costco or best buy? Or do I need to go to vzw for that. This will also ne doing an alternate upgrade from my wifes line. Can a third party handle that?
I'm also a little worried about my unlimited data.
huh? cliff notes, anyone?*remains calm, deep breaths* FINALLY i have caught up on this thread. It would have been sooner, but it would be inappropriate to type out the number of expletives in my head regarding the expletive network speed here today. It takes a solid minute just to open a new page because of something on this expletive network. I was better off with my phone while stuck at my stupid 1x data rate for the past 24+ hrs. It didn't get to 3G until on the way to work this morning and never got back to 4G. And, naturally, I can't check it again until I leave work at 3pm. (So much for my dental appt fortuitously being on a possible launch day). Anyhow, it makes perfect sense for Verizon to put off the launch of the phone due to the 4G issues happening. Ohers have said that VZW isn't stopping sales of Bionic, etc. True. But bear in mind that those are pre-existing devices which have already been proven to work on the 4G network. Because devices like the XYBoard and GNex have never been really seen/heard of by the general public, many people are going to assume that there's something wrong with the devices themselves despite all the logical explanations that might be provided to them. Why? Because (get ready for what may be the quote of day here) consumers aren't the most intelligent people in the world. Especially when it comes to tech. Because they are generally ignorant of (ignorant meaning "not educated about", not "stupid") such things and want to know and understand something very simple. Something goes wrong, over-simplifed analogies occur. We tech support people see it all the time. "I can't get to my email therefore my computer is broken." A frozen application becomes equal to "Windows is broken". And I'm sure you all know several more examples of this. Now, if something "breaks" that they already used successfully before, they might be amenable to hearing that something suddenly went wrong and can be fixed. If you give someone something brand new and it doesn't work as designed, it's automatically junk, on the other hand. Verizon doesn't need a whole bunch of Chicken Littles seeing that and spreading a bunch of bad press via word of mouth to equally non-technical friends. I know many people who think their phones are broken if they suddenly get a pop up for an update. They expect it to just work, especially people coming from feature phones. As it is, it's been reported that ICS isn't as simple to figure out as Gingerbread is, but most of us are power users who want the nexus for reasons beyond what the general public will. If this phone gets labeled as an "iconic" device and starts getting press, Verizon doesn't need a "complicated" phone combined with a malfunctioning network. Particularly the first ICS device which would make Google look bad as well in some cases. I don't mind waiting a bit longer for all that to be sorted. The better embraced this phone is by the general populace, the better off the Android platform is. And we could use that now that Apple's filing all these patent infringement allegations against the OS now.
End of line.

Gooooooood morning Nexicans! I hope today is a bit calmer than yesterday. Please play nice with one another. It not only makes it a much more pleasant day but it makes our mods jobs that much easier.

Can someone make a script ala Redirect Checker
that tells us when http://preorder.verizonwireless.com/galaxynexus/ stops redirecting?

Great article!
It is amazing to think that Android came from this:

In such a short time.
Meanwhile Apple went from this:

I hate to say it Han, but I kind of agree with HuskerKate. When I spoke with the rep at Verizon last night (trying to get info) I got from him, very grudgingly I might add, that they had an unactivated demo unit in the back. Not only was he not allowed to show it to anyone, He claimed not to be allowed to activate it. After this I mentioned that I thought that was interesting. I told him that online I heard about and saw evidence of store reps showing the phones to people. He looked a bit non-plussed and exclaimed that (these reps) would likely be in major trouble...Anyway, after that it went like this:I have no idea. I don't think it was for showing me the Nexus, because he went in the back and brought it out to me with a bunch of people standing around and the manager didn't say anything.
But I called a few minutes ago to ask about the regional meeting, and they said "Jim is no longer working here."
I said "Since when? I just talked to him last night!"
He said "Since this morning."
I then asked him about the SGN and he was pretty pissy about the whole thing, gave me the "before the end of the year" BS.
I texted him on his cell phone to ask what happened, but I don't know if that was a work cell phone (probably) or his personal.
This blows.
Tried and it also doesn't work. If I don't have a compatible device I cannot hit the purchase button. If I do and don't install it right away (lack of space), it gets cancelled...
If you show Best Buy a print out of your discount (Razr Rezound) they will match Verizon's usually. It's up to the mobile manager.
