Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

thanks for the info/files, guys, I'm flashing now and will report back.

ps, I'd REALLY like someone to simply de-CIQ that stock, rooted ROM and post it. I personally don't want any mods, but I'd like to get CIQ out of there (if only because it saps cpu/battery)

thanks again!

I think earlier up in the thread, there was an issue with the stock launcher. I can't remember if it was with de-odexing it, or if it was removing CIQ.

Either way, aftermarket launchers alone give many more options over the stock ones. Many can give you that stock look if that's what you're after

the stock launcher works fine, the one i deodex'd does anyway

im trying to get the voice texting back i downloaded the app zip "Either use adb and push the app you want to /system/app/ or put it on your sdcard and move it there with root explorer. You may have to reboot your phone" what is adb and where can i find that and the root explorer

Worst part is I just did some experimenting, and now I'm going to have to put the cache file back into my Odin image file tool. The csc.tar file that version 2.0 made, that I took out for 2.1 to save 2 minutes, flashes successfully in ODIN.

At least we wont need to replace all of the current stock images in the ODIN thread. One csc.tar of a freshly formatted RFS /cache partition will work for all :)

:) cache file is nice, worth the little extra time in my opinion.

sorted. thanks all.

one final question. when re-sucking the stock rom, I have been uninstalling Talk and Voice Dialer, however I've later noticed that sometimes my ringer wont work (I'll notice my phone light up and say incoming call but no ringtone plays)

I suspect that Talk or Voice Dialer is at play, any input?

the link got renamed to the thread tittle, its a link to a post in the thread for installing apk's

Same way you got CTmod on the phone. go to cwm/ install zip from sdcard/ choose zip/ reboot.

you don't unzip the apkinstaller. if you have 7zip installed on your computer you open the ApkInstaller.zip by right clicking on it, 7zip, open archive, double click on system, double click on app, drag the apk's you want installed to it, close 7zip, put the ApkInstaller.zip on your sdcard, boot your phone into recovery and do flash zip from sdcard like you did the rom

bs man is it away i can re zip it lol

you delete any ringtones? talk and voice dialer don't have anything to do with the phone ringing

no, in fact when it happened I immediately went into sounds/ringtone and tested that the tone was selected/valid/rang.

the sporadic nature of the issue is the most perplexing aspect of it. for now we'll forget it, and I've started collecting data to analyze for correlations.

Thanks :D
