Personally, yes I would be annoyed because I don't care about Google Wallet at all. If they announced it would never be on the phone it wouldn't matter to me. So from my point of view, if it's being delayed because of GW that makes me even more annoyed.
 
Hey, I had a thought earlier that I never posted...but now is as good of a time as any. Do you know when you're young and looking for "the one" and the harder you look the more likely it seems you'll never find her. And then one day you resign yourself to not looking anymore and just living life...and POOF, just like that...you find her...when you stopped looking.

I wonder if you we all stopped this crazy thread if POOF the Nexus would get released. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this thread and all of you. But I think we all agree we love the NEXUS TOO. When we stop this thread, it will come. :)

I will be happy to interpret your dream. Your dream was about the Nexus release. In reality, the car dock is a thing of beauty, sleek, streamlined, as you said. The Nexus release is a disaster, weird, a monstrosity with a wait that is clearly too big. In your dream, the Nexus car dock IS a symbolism of the release. It should have been sleek, streamlined, beautiful, but Verizon turned it into a monstrosity.

I too am looking forward to a bloat-free, pure Google experience on my phone, and I will have it as soon as we have S-Off on the HTC ReZound!! :D

You remember the ReZound, right? The phone that was unveiled, had a date announced and then on that date, showed up in the stores? The phone that aside from some very minimal and widely scattered audio bug reports has proven to be fast, friendly and awesome while packing the best screen I've ever seen on any cell phone, including the fruity ones? ;)

I just hope that for you guys' sake that at some point, they actually DO release the damn thing and that it is not a train wreck of Bionic proportions!!! :(

I too have held the mighty Nexus!!! I have been on a mission to find one that I can purchase tomorrow and thought I finally did. I went to a small reseller that actually is right down the road from VZW corporate headquarters, lol!

The guy had one in the store that was already claimed. He asked if I at least wanted to check it out. It was awesome!!! I love the build. Very solid, was much lighter and thinner than I would have thought it to be. Anyways, he was going to sell me one tomorrow but VZW is calling all the managers of resellers to let them know to hold off and not sure as to when. I at least got to reserve one.

In hopes of getting one still I went to another reseller who didn't have them but confirmed, via a Samsung rep today, that the launch is now the 15th. We will see.

And btw here are the accessories I purchased earlier at a VZW corporate store.

Here's my thoughts...

I think someone from Verizon saw the possible "bug" of the Nexus allowing FREE MHS. Someone probably tested it and found that it indeed allowed MHS without Verizon being notified... Right out of the box... Verizon wouldn't be too happy about it. And quite possibly be a big enough oops for Verizon to put a hold on the release.

Just my opinion.

All I've asked my wife for Christmas is my Nexus. As long as it is released before then, I'm good.

I am truly amazed to see how upset people are getting over all of this.
After all.... it is just a phone. As far as I am aware, it doesn't print money, doesn't cook breakfast, won't pick up my kids... it's just a phone!

With that said, I have enjoyed all the drama on here. It is entertaining... But as Steven has said... Let's keep some perspective.

everything about the ICS "experience" has been a crapshoot so far. what's to make it better in the future?

hopefully vzw/google will have their stuff together in 2 year.
i'm sad to go but all of this mis-information is really frustrating as a consumer.

just tried search 5801 on the verizon website. Ussually give me a list of accessories. Now its giving me cant find any results :(

Stay Strong...let's ride this storm out, I felt like jumping ship yesterday and grabbing a Razr or Rezound. You will really regret it if Tuesday comes ad you have to pay $35.
