got to return it seriously...

Wow. If this is true...I'm not sure what I'd do...

Well, on second thought I would return it if asked like you are doing. I commend you for your actions sir.

Readers of Cryptonomicon will tell you that no good book is complete without one cooking recipe and an algorithm to calculate pi.

Readers of any good thread will tell you that it's not complete without a My Little Pony update and a trial analysis of the OJ case.

I thought it was CHUCK NORRIS Jokes?

Does anyone know if "Street Date" is real slang in that business? I've never heard the term.

Yes "Street Date" is very common "slang" in retail.

However they don't write the street date on a box in sharpie marker, it's usually on an official looking sticker that is sealing the box.

OT:

That is true as well. I've seen convictions overturned, and rightfully so.

What really, really galls me, though, is when crucial evidence is withheld from the jury for any number of "red tape" reasons. It's heartbreaking when you see the family get screwed because a judge didn't see "probable cause" for a police officer with 15 years experience and nothing bad on his record to obtain clear evidence of guilt.

Do some police officers "plant" evidence. That is much more rare than TV would have you believe. I loved "The Shield", but come on, seriously?

All of this is fine, and I'm sure from your point of view it just plain sucks to see someone walk when they are clearly guilty. However I'd rather see ten guilty people walk than see one innocent person wrongfully convicted. That's just me though.

I went to my local VZW corp store this morning.
They told me that the Galaxy Nexus is under a quarantine because of the manufacture. VZW is not accepting the phone as is for some reason.

Sorry for the bad news.

This is a little bigger than the usual phone launch. And it has gotten into mainstream media. This has iPhone qualities to the launch. There are rumors that Verizon is going to turn this into an Iconic device (currently only the iPhone and their designated Droid phone recieve this honor). It has completely saturated twitter, facebook, google+. Verizon looks bad, and there are indications the debacle yesterday with the 9th actually affected the stock price of VZ.
I have actually been tracking the stock for the past couple of days ever since they called off the 9th. It was down. Shareholders definitely are not happy and someone is going to be fired. Anyway I stopped by my verizon store this morning optimistically, but not expecting, was told next week. Reason. Google wants to keep in the wallet. So its fingerpointing politics. This is turning into occupy wall street which I'm against, and capitol hill politics. Everything should have been smoothed out during the negotiation process. Dang numbskulls lol

Called a corp store, a Wireless Communication store, and telesales around 9:30 this morning.

Corp Store: Didn't hesitate to tell me that they had them, but gave me the impression that he thought it was stupid that they couldn't sell them, and said he had no idea when they would be available.

Wireless Communications: This guy said he was pretty sure they were in this morning's shipment, but he also shot me down by saying he couldn't sell me one.

Telesales: I just asked if the Galaxy Nexus was available today, and she immediately said "no". I asked when it would be, she puts me on hold, and said "probably by the end of the year." She really stressed probably.

Anyway, I bought my first smartphone in '04. I have also been on the edge of my seat when it comes to the next smartphone I want. I told myself I wouldn't do it this time, and I was doing great until the whole my hopes got crushed with the whole situation with today's release date getting squashed.

Anyone claiming that there was never an official date, this is the first time (IN 7 YEARS) that Equipment Guide (fka InfoManager) has stated a date that didn't pan out. December 9th was clearly the official date, and there certainly was a delay.
