Why? What's another week when you're going to have the phone for 20 months minimum (in most cases)?

Is it just that you don't see much advantage to the GN over the iPhone?

well for me it's just the prinicipal. and I guess you could say I dont see THAT much advantage.. especially b/c I dont have 4G in my area, and I wanted a phone with a great camera anyway so I was gonna sacrifice that in getting the Nexus.

Bottom line I want the Nexus more than the iPhone dont get me wrong, but i'm not gonna wait til the end of the month.

ok, with that being the case it appears that their update is ready to go and that "bugs" are not the cause of the delay, so we can rule that out. it only really leaves either legal(google wallet) holdups or delaying for the sake of razr/rezound sales
 
The words from Steven's source, 15th not definite, is haunting me. If there is no technical issue with the phone and it's all about marketing, who knows when they are going to finally release it, it's clear they don't give a damn.

The only thing that keeps me sane is the fact that stores still have them in stock and haven't sent them back yet....and Verizon did say before the end of the year. To delay it to the 1st quarter because of marketing strategy would be utterly ridiculous, but who knows with them.

I'm thinking the 15th is my last day as well. Like I posted last night, I won't be around my store until the middle of January after next Thursday and I have to return a phone that they let me borrow. It's not an ultimatum, it's a question of necessity unfortunately.

Here's to hoping the 15th is the date, otherwise I'll be joining the iOS bandwagon.
 
i also wouldn't like to be responsible for someone losing their job and it is super-unfortunate that verizion has put people (sales and customers) in this position to begin with. a simple official release would solve so much confusion. they do it for so many of their other phones, why not this one?
 
A coworker of mine just called our VZW store. The CSR said it was pulled, he doesn't know when it's coming out, but that it was released in South Africa today. Haha, we all just started laughing when he said that, so random.

I don't understand why so many people are going to the iphone instead of the rezound. Neither phone advances a ton over previous android or iphone OS devices, but if you had an android phone before, what makes the latest iphone so much more exciting than the rezound. When I held the htc phone, I got the sense that I was holding something newer, different, when I hold an iphone it's like the same thing that has been out for years, but that's just my opinion.

Unfortunately its not gonna happen if I remember OTD was at a Best Buy.

My friend works there (is working right now) and verified with me that the SKU will not ring up so looks like a no go unless I am mistaken with the store.
 
Went to 2 VZW corp stores and 1 3rd party. The person at the 3rd said says "we have them in stock, but WE don't uhhhh ... ummmm .... have them at THIS location, but will have them very soon I think, soooooo". Really smooth. Anyways, all 3 places denied me.

I've been trying to make calls on my Diztronic case all morning to no avail ... sigh ...

Oh yeah, and I tweeted (we need to make stickers to wear ala "I Voted" stickers")
