ABSOLUTELY YES! Call me crazy but when we first got a glimpse of the real deal I did a little happy dance when I saw that. Best underrated feature of the phone by far. I use my mobile as an mp3 player on the job sites nearly all day, and I am in complete agreement with you. Placing the phone in your pocket "top down" is the most natural way to hold the phone-- no flipping the phone around when you have to get it back out.

I don't play guitar, I do drum a little, but Metallica is hands down my favorite band. If only they stopped making terrible albums the last 10 years...

So just got to see the Nexus in Radio Shack and it is awesome. Thin for LTE and light. Pure awesomeness!!

Funny thing was though as soon as guy brought it out he was fumbling the box around and when he finally got it open, he dropped the phone. To then say "oh don't buy that one." I said "I'll buy it right now." No go on that though. I could of slapped him when he dropped it.

This is 1 reason I wish they would pre-order online. All of these phones sitting in back rooms with peoples grubby hands on them. Dropping them! I want my grubby hands to be the first to touch it!!

I have news that you can have when I hit 500 followers. :p ;) I kid.


So... I am talking to my student (teenage girl) who has a blackberry about phones. I told her I was getting a phone next week. She told me I should get an iPhone because "it talks to you."

Yeah. She said that to.wrong.person. :p Yeah. I went off on that. She looked like she was hit by a ton a bricks. ;)
 
Back to the dark ages. I returned my ReZound, and am now just waiting. Decided to activate my broken Dinc to keep the unlimited data. It's gonna be harder and harder to not get the GSM version. I'm giving them till wednesday to come out with a PR. I will have a GNex come the 15th.
 
It would be really nice, now that they have some extra days (or longer), to at least allow online to purchase it a few days ahead of time to receive it the same day as stores can sell it. The stupid Xyboard went on sale today online and in stores on Monday. That is the way that it should be.

It's easy to stock for the xyboard. They'll need 1 per store, and that may be overstocking it.:p
 
Hhrumbbfttttttt ......and no, that's not what I'm actually thinking. Had zero results this morning. They wouldn't even let me see a demo. Tried my luck this evening and a nice young man said.....and I quote, "perhaps a woman your age would be happier with one of these(pointing to the display of dumb phones) . I.......almost.......hit......him.....with .....my ......purse. I think I might go back at close and follow him home with my brights on. Hahahah.......I AM losing it.

I agree. I cannot see why they would not want to do that because ordering online saves them commission they have to pay the reps. We all know verizon would love to save that money.

Lets see if we can get some media attention or something. What else can we do to show our displeasure? I realize moderators on here want to keep us civilized and that we are. There is nothing to worry - if anything this shows that we have some unity.

I just wish companies would be somewhat honest with us. Steven's source clearly said the phone was delayed for "corporate strategy" reasons. AKA there is nothing wrong with the phone.

And while Verizon has told us all along by the end of the year they are still responsible for the leaks within the company like it or not. Yes they are leaks, yes I take them with a grain of salt, but they are still Verizon's responsibility. The corporate image of the company whether caused by Verizon or not is all Verizon's responsibility.

I've tweeted #vzwnexusfail a few times today and even copied your text in the aboe msg...come on folks...twitter and email campaigns can work...if i remember correctly it may have been what got vzw to make the pr statement back in october in the first place!!!
