Not blood, gore, violence that you might be imagining. That is not Mr Kubrik he's much classier than that :)

You got a heck of a movie list waiting to be seen !

Ahhh. OK. And yes, I do. If I had the time and funds I would do a tour of the country and meet each of you and watch one movie each so you could all play a part in my movie education. :D

If I'm not mistaken were just going by the history of the nexus line.
what scares me is when you mix one of the best phones in history to one of the most devilish carriers
I might or must have missed this too. Do we have any info/confirmation of who will be OTA'ing the updates with or without VZ intervention?

Introducing Google Wallet - YouTube

Also, if you are planning on using Google Wallet (assuming it's eventually included on the Nexus) and if you have not yet applied for a Citi Mastercard you might want to do that.

Citi[/QUOTE

FWIW You can load cash on this card from any VISA, Mastercard for sure. Uncertain about American Express etc. The vid shows the first card since they are testing with Citibank but the second one is for everything else in values of 20, 30, 50, 100, 150 and then Other for any amount you want.

Just ordered a TPU case.. it says a lot about Verizon that I just ordered this case and im a little afraid I'll never have a phone to put into it

This is the exact reason I haven't ordered anything... but I have several accessories in my 'cart' on Amazon!

No screen protectors? How do you keep your screen from getting smudgy?

The Inc has an oleophobic coating (or did it's worn off now) and so does the GN I'd imagine. While I'm about as OCD as they come, the smudge on a smart phone does not bother me since I can just breathe on it and wipe it away in about 7 seconds. Screen protectors smudge jsut as easy in my experience. Except for the anti-smudge sp's which I can't stand :p

NOOooooooooooooooo. My guy at radioshack who said I could get the gnex tomorrow just called me and said he might not be able to sell it to me anymore. Their manager is having a big regional conference call right now discussing the nexus. He told me to call back in an hour. (btw this is the NYC area)

Okay.. i'm calling shenanigans on this whole Google Wallet thing. I called my local radio shack just to see if I could get lucky, and she was VERY honest with me saying they have a very small supply, but they are actually in the back. They received their FOUR Nexuses yesterday. Only four and it's in a prime location. I'm guessing this is a shipment/training issue. I'll stand by that, but obviously my source is just piecing crap together.

I'm sure Verizon & Google are fighting over it, but no way in hell Google took legal action to dispute the contract over GW being in the GN. Just no way with it being so close to launch. That would have been an issue A LONG time ago.

OT BURGER TALK: --------------------------

Disagree. Food is terrible in Austin minus the bbq joints. People only pretend it's good because it's made by one step above homeless 20 somethings.

I'm guessing that's because they smoke a lot of their meats. You either love it or hate it. I'm not a fan of that either, but my brother goes insane for that style.

If anyone is in Las Vegas - go to Burger Bar in Mandalay Place. It's by far the best burger I've ever had. Tremendous place.

As for my hometown Pittsburgh - 1) Fat Heads 2) Bob's Diner 3) Olive or Twist 4) Burgatory

I have had the ReZound for almost a month now, and the battery life is, in a word, OUTSTANDING. I would be surprised to get battery life this good out of ANY smartphone, but to be getting it out of an HTC phone is remarkable, to say the least. After all, doesn't HTC stand for "Hit The Charger"? :p

Really?? My battery life has been absolutely terrible. I'm not sure if I have a lousy radio, but it keeps switching from 3G, to 1x, to nothing. I'm lucky if I don't have to recharge before 1 pm if I take off the charger at 7:00.

Alright. I have the T-mobile version of the Nexus S. About two weeks ago I unlocked, rooted and installed Cyanogen Mod 9 Alpha 11. ICS is amazing and runs like butter on this phone. It included Google Wallet. I scouted out Paypass markers at McDonalds and 7-11. Perfect I frequent both for coffee etc. It's also at CVS and in some stores in 2 local malls that I know of. The official Paypass Locator App is available in the market for free ( https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mastercard.paypass ) I registered the service and upon activation/login of the app I received $10 from Google to spend. I tried it out at all of the above and it worked without a hitch. I like the convenience and right now, in the program's infancy I appreciate the ability to try something new. It's a shame I had to jump through hoops to get it on my Nexus device....100% reason I passed up on the features of competitors phones was to give Google my "OK! I'll be your guinea pig" Releasing the 4G version on Sprint and then giving the phone Wallet was the last straw for me in a sense. I'm going to treat these companies not as a friend but as the pipe they really are from now on. Unlocked mobile devices are fun but not when the network they reside on plays games. I had a Nexus One on release day bought from the online store (Pure Genius!), an unlocked Nexus S full price on release day (Best Buy exsclusive for some daft reason :(, and when the 15th hits I'm going to have telesales on speed dial with my Living social voucher and federal worker discount to purchase said phone w/ accessories. If Google's Nexus line doesn't start realizing it's worth the "Pipe's" will keep doing this to squash innovation and freedom.

I am not sure why you quoted me but... :)

I never use a case myself and my phones always look pristine. For me the trick is to carry a small lens cleaning cloth in the same pocket I keep my phone. Of course nothing goes in that pocket other than the phone & cloth.

With that kind of reasonable care and occasional cleaning, the phone really stays clean.

Seems as though a lot of folk went with TPU cases? (idk what that is)

The Steinheil sp's are really nice so as long as you don't get the anti-smudge ones. They take away a lot of screen clarity imo. A lot of folk also like the Ghost Armor sp's

There was a Ghost Armour screen protector on my Thunderbolt when I bought it used and the only way I can tell it has a screen protector is by looking at the edges of it very closely. I am curious about Steinheil as I've seen them mentioned a lot. I've never seen one in person.

I'm at the point where I'm considering buying the unlocked, GSM version and signing up via T-Mobile.

Question though, I live in DC and see you live in the area. How is the T-Mobile network? Good speed? Slow? Bad service?

So Google Wallet/ISIS = delay why am I not surprised I realize Google is part of this debacle but it makes me hate Verizon even more because it's obviously because they don't want to play nice. I understand that a large investment was made but come on! At this point I just want to say give us both and let us decide what we prefer.

Rant Over!

I never owned an HTC phone prior to the Rezound, so it was a new experience for me. I can't say I loved Sense, but I was certainly getting used to it and didn't find it detracting from the overall enjoyment.

One thing to keep in mind when you talk about 'generic design', is that almost everyone that's held one has stated how great it felt in their hand. It really does. There's something about the weight and balance of the Rezound that just feels right.

As much as I like Motorola, I can't say the same about the Razr. Of course it never helps that I've yet to feel a Razr without those damn umbilicals attached to the phone at all the VZW stores.

I've held one and played with one for a time & it is comfortable in my hand. That is just one tiny piece of the puzzle though for me. Like I said it's awesome you've found a keeper. I do wish, at times, I could say that right about now :)

Thats a great idea considering I don't use SP's and cases, I have a lot of those mini lens cleaners. Thing is, I would probably always forget to bring it along with me. (Not to include the fact that I'm really lazy as well). :)

It doesn't surprise me in the least. This phone appears to becoming more and more a crap-shoot with every passing hour. I can't see them pulling it, but it certainly remains a possibility.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a Horizontal Leather case for the Nexus?

I must have a FIXED belt clip.... why on earth the horizontal ones come with a rotating belt clip is beyond me.

Naked Nexus, no other skins or cases on it... I will be getting the horizontal dock.

Thanks for any help on this!

Garbage, Goggle Wallet only works with mastercard? All my cards appear to be Visa.

edit: disregard, reading that Visa is good to go too.
