Blame me for all of the WAWA topics.;)
Yes I started that issue, because it is a place where I can use G-Wallet if I ever get to use it there.

Ah another DC res. I hit up the one in Columbia Heights wayyyy too often. Always ask for the fries extra crispy as they can be really soggy sometimes.
Been years since I lived in CA and went to In n Out. Shakes were always solid, and animal style was always a prerequisite for a good sandwich.

The Columbia Heights one is the one I hit up most often too since I live in Mt. Pleasant/AdMo. It's pretty freaking awesome.

I'm still holding onto a small hope that I can go to Best Buy on Sunday, pick up a Nexus, and then get a celebratory burger with fries. :p

I just read the review. Excellent job - I think as somebody mentioned in the comments, and you replied to, the only thing missing is a battery performance review. If I was not getting the Galaxy Nexus, I would already be a Rezound owner. It really is the best phone available right now IMHO.

I have had the ReZound for almost a month now, and the battery life is, in a word, OUTSTANDING. I would be surprised to get battery life this good out of ANY smartphone, but to be getting it out of an HTC phone is remarkable, to say the least. After all, doesn't HTC stand for "Hit The Charger"? :p

Wawa is better than Sheetz in many ways, but no matter what Sheetz does to try and top them Wawa will always win for one reason - Hoagiefest!

So are we allowed to be told why the thread was locked down in case we missed it to sleep or is it never to be spoken of again? PM would work for me if the latter is the case. :-)

Here's the PSA (and thanks gathering apparatus :p ) that Steven posted last night after the unlock.

I hope you are right. Bears are my Defense in my fantasy League. I have to win or there will be no money for the Nexus until next year.
My wife is from Chicago and I'm in Denver. You have a 50-50 chance in this household of getting your GN. (or at least one of us hoping you do) #tebow trending. lol

Just stopped into RS and asked. They said they had it, but just got a memo not to sell it. It just occurred to me that Verizon has put more energy, manpower and emails into NOT selling it than selling it. Interesting. I guess that's what you can do when you have the only viable wireless system.

Agreed. There are several issues being worked on with this phone.
1. Verizon leak issues
2. The Isis/Wallet battle
3. SIM/volume/supply/software bugs

We may never know the whole story about this phone but I think we have a pretty good picture of what's going on. All of this could take a while to hash out. I hope it doesn't because I am already looking toward CES for the next big thing.

Hey All--

Long time lurker on this thread. Just wanted to say hi.

Also was over on the Verge earlier reading their post about Dec 15 being the new date. A comment in their discussion had a link to an online petition to VZ to release the phone. Definitely not something I started, but everyone should go check it out (I can post links yet:).

On another note, I have been reading all the ISIS and Google Wallet discussion--I just find it hard to believe this is a delay reason. I'm sure Google could fight it out with Verizon after a release to get the desired results they want. While I don't think this phone is going to sell the amount the iphone sells, I do think that both sides are missing out on sales opportunities if this corporate dispute continues.

Regardless, I'm anxious to get a new phone. My OG Droid is like everyone else's and on its last leg. It is extremely laggy, it always has random mispresses, and I can't use the headphone jack. Essentially it has been reduced to the functionality of a dumbphone because it is so slow and I'm only holding on to my unlimited data. Of course, it has been a great phone to own--built like a tank and it has gotten its share of abuse.

Of course, if Tebow were to go on TV (or even Twitter) and say "VZW should release the Nexus", it wiould probably be on the shelves and ready by the time you got to the store!!! :p

Instead of Occupy VZW, or slamming their twitter, maybe everyone here should all "Tebow" at exactly Noon today, then go to your local VZW store and see if it worked...........

Hey!!! It has as much chance of working as everything else we've tried!!

Just for the record, I am a die-hard Steelers fan, but I am PRO-Tebow - he's not a good quarterback, he might never be a good quarterback, but you can't deny that he is a LEADER and WINNER, and maybe that counts for as much or more as a tight spiral and a technically correct release.

Yes. That's the whole answer. A lot of current and future $$$ is at stake, so you can expect them to fight to the death over it.

Hey, we have a famous author. Awesome!

Rezound will be sharper for two reasons: It has the same resolution at smaller size (equals higher DPI), and it also has traditional RGB subpixels instead of Nexus' PenTile RGBG (3 subpixels versus 2). But I think the sharpness issue is a wash, as I don't think most people will be able to detect jagged text or shape edges at such high resolutions.

OTOH, the Nexus' SAMOLED display will almost certainly have higher contrast and better brightness. Probably better viewing angles too, as the Rezound is fairly crummy when viewed other than head-on.

There are reports of slightly visible banding artifacts on some Nexus, but I suspect it's one of those things you wouldn't notice unless looking for it.
Going to completely agree with you here.

I was also taken aback at how poor the off axis viewing on the Rezound is. I don't think it's a huge deal as most of the time you're looking strait on, but it does wash out rather quickly to the sides.

Only thing I would add is the Rezound display will also have better color accuracy. Again, only minor.

Either way, both screens do look amazing compared to anything else out there.

Welcome to the crazy train.

Could also be a supply issue. Read somewhere that 120,000 were made in the first run. Based on this threads popularity, that is no where near enough devices. They had the same issue with the INC, maybe they are trying to stop a repeat of the past.

The only thing I would have left out is how you love Sense. There are a ton of people who love it, and a ton who don't. In my experience, if I'm reading a review and the reviewer says how much he loves Sense, Motoblur, or TouchWiz, I'll pass on because I don't think it will be fully objective.

Well you can't buy the phone w/o Sense and a regular non-techie user can't disable it either, so a prospective buyer should be told something about Sense. It's good to mention that it's an unusually heavy/flashy layer on top of the bare Android. I don't really think the old complaints about sluggish behavior really apply anymore with a 1.5GHz dual-core phone, but yeah some people will find it too in-your-face.

FWIW, so far I like the phone best w/GO Launcher with a few remnants of Sense still hanging around that are nice enough that I use them instead of looking for replacement widgets.

Guys, I hate to be "that guy", but didn't Steven warn us all to keep the suggestive comments out, or bans would be enforced?

Darn, I can't find a smiley for "bites tongue." ;)

So If I remember correctly 2 people, that we know of, were able to get a Nexus yesterday and keep it.

Until some muckity muck at VZW gets wind of it and sends out a pair of T-1000 after the poor buyers. :(

Users banned and put on probation, two thread locks while the cleaners were in action, no new news.

What we really want to know is if you got dinner last night or if you had to go to bed hungry? :p

Looks like a good night to miss I did :)

Just childs play as usual or something more sinister?

What a gorgeous day in the ATL we've had the best daRn weather here this year! From 2 of muh boys, the 15th is still on track, 1 texted me last night and said Google wallet was the delay cause. Who knows, but :

5 more days!! woot!

Never heard of Sheetz before. Had to look them up and apparently, they don't have any locations in NJ or the Philly area. So I'll have to default to WaWa on this one.

Unless Sheetz are selling GNex's, of which case I'd hunt a location down.

Hey Rick welcome to the party you'll fit right in I can tell :)
