I guess the reason I'm ready to jump ship instead of waiting it out is because I haven't seen or gotten to play with the phone yet. I'm assuming that the reason it's easier for those who have is that they know it's worth waiting for and they have already seen it so their anticipation has been tempered a little bit... It's not so easy when all you've been going off of is stories, rumors, and pictures. :(

I'm doing both - spending time with family and keeping up here. Oh, and doing some shopping too. :D

Because we're not trying to get anyone in trouble. (And I'm not saying that cggorman was trying to get anyone in trouble)

That's the only reason I haven't gone to try my luck at all. I don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Thanks for that Han. Took me a minute to register who was talking - you're back in blue.

Whaaaa?

I am? I went away for a bit and am on the app, didn't notice.

I wasn't supposed to be normal til 12/11.

Maybe someone took pity?

Interesting.

That is still insane. No wonder Cali is going broke!!!!

Yeah, it sucks, but your rationale about them being broke doesn't make sense. After all, stuff like this and a nearly 8% sales tax mean MORE revenue for the state. :) Their problem is they can't balance a budget and won't cut programs to stick to a budget. I think the federal government takes after Cali hahahah

Keep us updated BUSTA!

Bah!

REJECTED..

I called the BB and the "woman mobile CSR", (yes i know it was a woman i was hoping i could get lucky and she would just blindly process it) and she said I could purchase it today.

So I drove to the store and walked right to the mobile department. Had to of been like 6 or so best buy people around the desk area.. and im already thinking to myself.. sh*t.. there's no way ill be able to buy it since one of them is bound to know they aren't suppose to sell them.

I said Im the guy who called and was told I could buy a Galaxy Nexus. I could see the "woman CSR" pulling the battery out of a Nexus and repackaging it. A guy there said we have them but we cant sell them it doesn't pull up in our system.. bla bla bla.. I was ready to buy the phone today too. bla bla bla..

I was watching her repackage the device and man was it Sex-ay!

I was going to ask if I could see the device but she already pulled the battery and put it back in the box so I didn't bother.

Maybe this is God's way of telling me to be patient and buy it cheaper at Verizon.

Wouldn't it be nice if Verizon would just sell the phone tomorrow?

They delayed it because they got upset with Google blaming them for Google Wallet, right? Since it obviously isn't software related it would only make sense for them to just release it now, after all it's going to affect the sales of this device at Verizon stores if the third party retailers are going around selling the device already.

Just my two cents, but it seems like the only good way to turn this horrible launch around.

Hey hans i got a question. I remember a few months ago when you first started asking her info about the phone she kinda had a "omg you're crazy its a phone relax" tone. Now, it seems like she is one of us and wants the phone out just like us, lol. Or is that just me?

No, she's an isheep through and through.

At my house, LTE is currently 92ms ping, 7.30 Mbps download and 1.97 Mbps upload. It was faster on the RAZR. I have one bar of LTE whereas the RAZR when I rented it was much faster. However, about a mile down the road, when I tested it out 2 hours ago gave me: 99ms ping, 23.54 Mbps down and 18.80 Mbps up. The second result was more like what I was getting on the RAZR at my house.

It may be that the LTE radio isn't picking up the signal as well? I do not know, I just know that at my house it is not as quick and the signal is not as fast as the RAZR was. But in a stronger area they were the same.

Haha! That's awesome! It's actually my roommates. My speakers are upstairs. I have some Bose speakers that are about 8 years old. I've been looking and waiting to get some nice floorstanding speakers to pair with that 46" Samsung that I have.

The RAZR radio is exceptional. It pulls 18 down where my tbolt pulled 6.

ScottG, do yourself a big favor and wait man. Seriously. I got to mess around with one last night. It is worth the wait. Nicer than I expected.

Hopefully just a bit longer.

Did you prefer the Razr or the Gnex ? Btw you could check the signal strength at your house; one of the options in ICS shows the actual strength in dbm.

THIS is what I am talking about when I keep asking about radio strength, both data and phone calls. If this holds true it's a major strike against Samsung again for me. Same with GPS.

OT: Pets
wow bad month for pets. My siamese I had for 14 years just died. He stopped eating and started losing weight. I took him to the vet and turned out he had an abdominal tumor probably lymphoma. He did ok for a few weeks then just suddenly declined and died in the course of about 18 hours. No distress just lethargic.

well, since the talk is about sick pets, My one cat had a serious problem where over the summer he started having breathing issues, and loss of appetite. Was taken to the vet a couple of times and it seemed to help for a little while until the shot wore off. Then he had an issue where his one eye swelled up, then when the swelling went down his other really swelled up. His eye was so bad that he had to go into the vet yet again and the vet had to drain the area. After the eye healed from that it swelled back up again. We thought we were going to have to put him down because not only was he going through that but he had now lost so much weight that he felt like a rag doll in the hands and had absolutely no energy. The good news is that the vet finally figured out that he had a thyroid problem so with a prescription for that and for some antibiotics his eye is better and he has put some weight back on and is much more energetic. So this time it ends with good news, although he does not take well to have to keep getting medicine on a daily basis.

I love how oblivious the stores around me are, yet I can't get the phone.

I call Best Buy and ask if they have the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in stock, the girl went to find out from someone and I could hear her ask "Do we have the Samsung Galaxy Nexuseses... Nexuses... NEX-US in stock?" They did not.

Then I called Radio Shack to ask, again I get a girl and she only heard Samsung Galaxy. She went to get another person, I asked him if they had the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in stock and he said that it hadn't launched yet, blah blah blah. I then asked when it would be launching since I was told on Friday it was launching today (Sunday) by someone at Radioshack. He told me they were waiting on word from Google as to when they could launch it.

Why must I be so unlucky that the stores around me have stupid people who have unfortunately been informed that the phone can't be sold yet.
