Louisiana IS eligible for 3G to 4G promotion. I can't get it because the line with the upgrade has a 4G phone on it now (activated it last week...) . AAAUUUGGGGHH!

Not true dude. I've been up for an upgrade since mid 2010 and they made a note in my file to include me. And they werent' making an exception either, my CSR looked up my number and it fit all the criteria. I think you should keep trying!!

Somebody needs to tip the wall street journal or another big publication or media outlet about the vzwnexusfail movement.

They know that all of us who got screwed will stick around til the next screwup, and all the tweets and emails will just turn to vapor.

People were amazed at the screwup over the Dinc, and look how many are still here, for their second smack.

Verizon knows what they're doing. It doesn't make business sense to respond to us. They know we're not going anywhere.

Yes. Are you planning on paying full price? BestBuy will be 150 more than bestbuy. 650 (guessing) and bestbuy will be 800
 
I requested a half day off Thursday... let's hope it's the actual release date or I'll be sleeping in and doing nothing until at least 10 AM.

It's different because when the 9th got postponed, VZW apparently told their CSRs to take names / numbers and to notify those contacts of when the release would happen. That has happened across the country, as we know. That is different than the 9th, which was based simply on leaked documents and "sources." The 15th is coming from VZW reps.

Secondly, VZW has already told all of their corp stores TO SELL THEIR STOCK ON THE 15TH. They technically don't need another email, mailer, letter or instructs from HQ announcing this as a release. I think this is why so many stores feel very comfortable telling us to come get our phone that day.

Lastly, the 15th is National Cupcake day, and you can get a FREE ICE CREAM cupcake on that day! (no, it's not an ICS, but close!) So, of course it has to come out that day!!

Well then let's hope Verizon's plan for National Cupcake Day isn't to launch the Nexus with v1.5... ;)

Got a call back today from VZW from the email I sent them about the $100 discount. I got the "I don't see that promotion is our system" from them. So it looks like I'll be paying the full price for the phone. :(

Also, my girlfriend textd me and said I had to call her. She was excited for me, and told me that she went to the mall Verizon store looking for my Christmas Present (Nexus accessories :)) and they told her that the phone would be out Friday. I didn't have the heart to tell her that these guys probably didn't know what they were talking about since we've been hearing Thursday from a bunch of other sources. Had to do the "Thanks Babe! That's Awesome!" response.

Hey now, I'm just trying to keep my hopes down so I'm never disappointed. I give it about a 2% chance this thing launches this week. That's up from 0.01% I gave it last week.

So I am really nervous now....they said come back "Monday" and the other one said come back "Thursday"....However, they didn't tell you which "Monday" or "Thursday" to come back....ughhhh! Please let it be this week.
 
Just got a CSR over the phone to give me the $100 discount and make a note of it on my account. I emailed earlier and they said I did not qualify but thought I would call anyway and it worked! I am in Florida so it was a pleasant surprise. I did not mention anything about the Midwest or where I was from and I had to repeat that it was for customers that were going from 3G to 4G about six times.

It does not make me any less patient but Verizon literally bought themselves a few more days.

BTW, my OG Droid hates me and has determined to make my last few days with it very painful. I have to get a new phone by the 31st to get the discount so the end is in sight.

I requested half a day last Friday and ended up going to work at 8:00 since nothing happened. I'm hoping since I didn't take the half day Friday that my boss doesn't mind if I take one (possibly) Thursday.
 
CSR I just spoke with told me that you don't need a notation in your account or anything. She said it is a known promotion and if you are in the midwest and upgrading from 3g to 4g they will honor it in the store without a notation or coupon if you mention it. And if you have any problems you can just call *611 in the store and they will do it.
 
The 15th sounds really good now after i got a text from Verizon at 10:52am saying Congrats Your Elig for a new phone and to call an 888 number, Ive been elg since june and never got any text like this before so hmm kinda strange... getting excited!!

That's good news. I got denied via email earlier. Maybe I'll give them a call later tonight.

Keep trying!

I spent 20 minutes with a CSR while he made calls, spoke to his supervisor, etc. and he couldn't find the promotion either.

Then I saw the code and I called back, talked to a girl, and she found it with the code in less than 2 minutes.

Code is CH4GE.
 
Alright, which is it? Wed? Thur? Fri? I'm hearing too many different dates from you guys and girls. I'm assuming Thursday since that's when Verizon normally releases phones.

Just saw the phone at radioshack. It's far more beautiful than I imagined. My friend from work (who hasn't been following the SGN) was taken aback buy how amazing it looked/felt in hand.
Just a few more days to go (hopefully) :D
