Just crazy;
I was at Sams Club today and I checked out the VZW phones they had.
Razr was $288 and they said the price will drop this week.
I asked to see the Rezound and they told me they did not sell the Resound because they are selling the iPhone instead.<<LOL.
I just walked away and laughed.

She probably just said Gorilla glass to put it into perspective for a layman.. everyone knows what "Gorilla glass" means, but some people wouldn't necessarily think that "fortified glass" implies the same toughness.

Yeah but it's not Gorilla Glass and I 100% promise that Corning would be very angry to hear that Verizon reps are telling people that it is. In fact, that's quite illegal. I bet that she doesn't know that it's not Gorilla Glass. That or she was looking at the wrong phone.

Or maybe she is trying to get Verizon sued for the way they screwed up the Nexus launch.

Adding my experience... called *611, talked to a very nice CSR who had no clue what a Galaxy Nexus was. He mentioned the Stratosphere, I said no, not that one... I asked about the $100 discount and mentioned the doorways system, and I acted as polite and dumb as I could muster... ;)

He came back after a while and was all excited about the new Samsung LTE with Ice Cream Sandwich, he mentioned it had been delayed, that it was all secretive, but that it'll be out by this weekend... (The pile of grains of salt is a few feet high next to me, but it was nice hearing it from a CSR unprompted)

He also mentioned both phones on our account have a note in the system approved by his manager to get the $100 discount each. I'll believe it when I see it, but not bad for two calls (first one didn't work). BTW, Colorado. Good luck to everyone.

Sorry forgot to add OT.. But come on...are these NOT HOT???

Gorilla glass, fortified glass - a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. ;)

Except Gorilla Glass is a registered trademark and hasn't been around so long that it's the standard name for generic "fortified glass" like Kleenex or Xerox or even moreso Frisbee might be for their respective products.

this is to those ppl who were able to get the "3g to 4G promo" .......

after calling 611 several different time, I found a rep who knew about the promo. She called it a "3g to 4G Trade-In" promo and said it involves a $100 gift card as apposed to $100 discount on phone. She said once I get the new phone, they will mail a $100 gift card to me. Did anyone else have it explained to them this way?

EDIT: Im in California

I was told that that the promo and my NE2 could be combined in store or online. No mention of gift card or trade in.

Ok DONT MAKE FUN OF ME! But what do you guys mean when you use the word "ninja"? I feel so left out, someone fill me in please lol.

Ninja is when someone else if faster than you and posts a comment about the exact same thing you do right before you get to. Like I hope to do to some people with this comment!

ETA: Yes! I was first to reply with an actual answer! :P

ETA2: Nevermind I'm an idiot and my brain really is melting... kudos to keatre!

Are you getting page not available?

Yep. I honestly am not sure about what this testman page is specifically but I have seen a lot of people on here talk about it and a few people pointed its down. Its interesting because everything works except their list of smartphones. Perhaps they are updating it? (speculation)

I am making this post right now. But I haven't posted it yet. In all likelyhood, I will be ninjad. Ninjad means while you are typing your reply, someone has already beat you too it. I am just going to go ahead and add it as I am sure it has already happened.

If someone posts a link or a response to someone's question after someone else already did so, it is known as getting "ninja'd".

Example:
Person A: "How much will the Nexus cost?"
Person B: "$299"
Person C: "$299 Edit: Ninja'd"

Edit: Yep, ninja'd. LOL

Thread cleaned of all conversation regarding abusing a CSR, suitable infraction issued.
