OT

On the television talk, doesn't anyone follow the walking dead or hell on wheels. Sunday is for AMC now! Love both of these series especially walking dead

He said he just finally got word (within the last hour) from Verizon for the go ahead on Thursday. He set an appointment for me for 9:00AM!!!!!

I thought this way too until this summer when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It doesn't run in the family. I am the first so you can imagine my shock when after years of pretty much perfect health I was given this diagnosis. Just thought you should know never to rule out the unexpected even beyond freak accidents. BTW I am cancer free now. Thank goodness!

Congratulations on being cancer free! I was diagnosed with lymphoma in February. Last PET scan was clear. Welcome to the survivors' club.

More OT - I used to live in Woodland Hills many moons ago, drove through Helena all the time. I even did a research paper on the place in HS.

That's the thing. My gut says they are lying, especially since I went in there and spoke with them face to face on Sunday and found holes in their stories, but I just wish they would give me a straight answer. A week and a half ago they took my name down for when it comes in. Sunday and today they claim they never take names and no one will be calling me! I really need Verizon to just announce this thing already.

So last week they sent out the confirmation for the 9th on Monday or so, and sent out the "delayed" email Tuesday.. I would figure that today being Tuesday, do they really won't have a chance to send a "delayed" email any longer? Wouldn't sending a "delayed" email on a Wednesday be risky as there would be a few that wouldn't get it on time for Thursday? That would cause mass chaos.

I don't think Scott is "thanks fishing", I think he is genuinely excited about this release and thought it added to the evidence pointing to the 15th. I can't blame him for that.

Just like the 9th was looking like it, with people getting calls/appointments/etc, right? :) Just sayin'...we know nothing for sure until we hear it from VZW.
 
Riddle me this: If Verizon is hot for this phone, if they want to get it selling before the holidays, why would they give it a silent/soft/quiet launch? The only thing I can think if is the RAZR. It's painfully obvious they are pushing that thing as I've never seen a phone pushed so maybe they want to minimize the impact to RAZR sales.

Even that doesn't make sense to me. Why carry a product if you have more interest in selling other products? It's not a loss leader. Nope doesn't make any damn sense to me.
 
Guys, I know this is a little selfish, but can you please put any Dark Knight Rises stuff in Hide tags? I'm trying to avoid learning anything about the movie as I truly want to be surprised, impressed, wowed. TIA.

Yes, I've gone in RS twice. They were even less helpful. They were point blank like "we don't even know if this thing is ever gonna be released."

I thought at least one report said there was an email VERY late on the 8th frantically calling for the release to be held back for the 9th?
