Dear Princess,

Firstly, I want to warmly welcome you to this site. :) Secondly, I want to personally and humbly apologize to you. I am the reason that this thread is the way it is. I purposely started it and cultivated it to go viral. I did that by cultivating sources who would leak us inside information.

Now, whereas that's fun and all, I feel personally responsible for the addictive nature of it. It's a good thing that you miss your husband and care that he's on here too much. Many women wouldn't. That shows that their's life in your marriage, yet. I'm happy about this. :)

If you are feeling neglected because of a addictive nature of this thread, again, I'm very sorry. This hurts me, because as a former pastor, I deeply care about marriage and families. I would be deeply grieved to know that anything I did was causing stress on these precious relationships. So, I do ask your forgiveness and will pray for your marriage. If you need help or if you need me to speak to your husband, feel free to let me know and I will.

We ARE expecting the thread to close sometime this Thursday, as Verizon seems to be releasing the phone then, please God. :) Can I get an Amen?

Literally, in 5 seconds, I can think of 7 of my friends that don't use their real name.

Anyway, Face Unlock isn't meant to be a security feature in the first place. It's a cool gimmick. If people are that concerned about security they should use the pattern/password unlock (not PIN; cause if they know your name and can find a pic of you, they probably will figure out your bday, which is like 90% of PIN passwords), and have one of the phone finder/killer apps on there.

I know. I took it for 2 years actually - I can't read music for poop though. Played really well when the teacher would let me write the notes rather than have to decipher the damn things. And my daughter tried last year - she didn't have the desire to do it. Lol. I just couldn't resist pointing out the obvious correlation to a gutter comment in your post though. :D

I struck out a few times myself... it may have something to do with the CSR you get!

I was following the script given earlier in the thread:

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO TELL THE CSR

search "3g to 4g smartphone promo" in the "doorways" system.

Promo code: CH4GE

If the CSR had said no, I would have begged that I was a long-time customer, had OG DROID for 2 years and wanted to upgrade. If that hadn't worked, I would have asked for the supervisor. But it turns out I didn't need any of those steps! The CSR noted on my account that I'm eligible, and I will have to remind them when I go to the store. And yes, a NE2 credit stacks with the $100.

This probably isn't news, but I walked into my local corporate store on break this evening and the associate pulled the Nexus out of his pocket. He asked if I wanted to hold it, and I did. All I could do was smile. It's a thing of beauty. The screen is amazing, its fast...I was completely blown away. Then he said, "Be here Thursday."

Here's hoping we don't have to wait another week for this thing.

Whoa, calm down killa. If you'll notice, I did say that "I' hadn't seen that before, and that I wasn't really concerned with anyone stealing my phone, but that it was just a letdown.

Also, judging by some of the questions we're seeing and the fact that despite hawking this phone like crazy I hadn't seen it, being outdated doesn't mean everyone has seen it. But thanks for your comment and I hope you have a wonderful evening.
 
ok so i just realized that i'll be the only one in the office on launch day and i CAN'T FREAKIN' LEAVE THE OFFICE UNTIL WE CLOSE!!!

couldn't you just use a pin that's NOT your birthday?
 
Sorry to bring up the whole promo thing again. Just a quick question: I live in the mid-west and succeeded in getting a notation on my account regarding the $100 3G to 4G promo. I called 2 Verizon stores in my area and both said that they saw the note in the account but the only way to get it is to order over the phone.

Anyone else hear differently? I really want to pick it up on Thursday in person but it's not worth losing 100 dollars over.

Side note: Was joking around with one of the reps at the store and he totally understood my situation. Said he is waiting for the phone himself and was involved in all these forums. I asked specifically about Androidforums.com and he said yes. Strangely he didn't confirm the 15th as the release date...
 
I kinda think I should just go to sleep now cause that means when I wake up the Gnex will be here tomorrow! What should I do?! Stay up with you crazies!? :p

Edit: by tomorrow, I mean tomorrow's tomorrow. If you understand that :p lol
