I too had a bad download over 4g. I'm just blaming metro pcs. But again, this is fantastic. I'm reading more myself everyday and I think in a few months ill be able to build my own, and ill hold it to this benchmark. :)
 
The size of this rom and the size of the stock are huge. This one is 140-160mb best bet is over WiFi or on your computer

Hehe good ole ghettro pcs.. Yeah i am hopefully gonna set up a kitchen on this spare laptop and see how well i can start brickin my phone lol.. just to start learning the inner workings and that.. see if i can pull off an actual build one day :D

Edit: boots perfectly to stock ZB rom, just resets continuously with GingerSteem. Also the built in 1.5 oc should not be the issue as my phone was fully stable at 1.6 set on boot with plague kernel on stock rom. Thank you in advance for any help.^^

I'd just try the download again.

Yeah.. actually tried GS twice yesterday on 4G.. once in metroweb and once in opera.. didnt work till wifi.. filesize showed right, but it flashed in like 15 seconds..

I want to Thank you for all the work that you and the guys did on this build.
PlayfulGod was another I'd like to thank for all the effort put into this build, not forgetting all the testers that bricked their devices in the name of progressive technology I think? Gingersteem is a great rom even without the overclock kernel it still can reach 1.5 pretty increditible I think! Just want to shout out THANK-YOU to all involved in the making of Gingersteem.

I downloaded it over 4G no prob and it only took about 3-5mins..
 
MT Great job btw! There is a huge difference with this ROM! You can even feel there is nothing sucking up resources in the BG like the stock ZVB.

Only issue is sometimes after a reboot, the swype FC's. Weird because it continues to work. Not sure what's 'FC's'..

I did update swype and that's when it started..

Otherwise I think everyone will greatly benefit from this ROM! :D
 
WOW this runs GREAT! seriously idk how this phone can get any better, this rom + OC kernel + Esteem Optimizer = AWESOME!!

Actually ICS would make this phone perfect for me!
 
It seems that the blitzkrieg kernel is draining the battery faster than before. This is odd since it should be undervolted.
And to everybody having trouble flashing, it seems all that's being wiped is data. The system should be wiped as well as there are files there that can interfere if left behind.
 
if we wipe data, will all stuff on sd card "internal" be deleted. i currently don't have an external SD card. i have titanium backup backing up my apps to internal 4gb partition so will i lose all this data? i wanted to install this rom and then restore my apps only not other system dat so i could have my apps back, but if this rom will delete internal data i cannot do this. Also how is the battery life on this rom?
 
love the rom. my first impression was of the loading screen, that was impressive :D good taste. the screen animation locking is SWEET. i just saw it. i am so impressed with this rom already and havent barely touched it yet. thank you so much mtm and PG. really turned a good phone into a BITCHIN phone
