Siyah Gingerbread kernel (v2.x)

Mines golfing out quite nicely using lionheart governor. Was still on 100% when I woke up this morning. No wakelocks so far today either

Mine lost my eternal goal of 0.5% per hour overnight drain, so I'm pleased with 2.6.6i
I'm on sio/ondemand 100/1200
u/v by 50 on each every step. 100Mhz, u/v by 75

And as for performance, its the best yet for me. Smooth as buttered silk.

hi

i have installed checkrom v4 along with siyah 2.6.6, however im seeing lags, locks up when waking up & some battery drain, ive lost 20% around 3 hours, data has been on for 30 mins, no calls.

any ideas?

ive also installed the ICS v1.6 from kitchenpro, all sorts happening here, i basically want a nice layout, fast performance & bettery battery.
can anyone recommend one?

my phone set up is:

GT-19100
ANDROID V 2.3.6
BASEBAND KP8
KERNAL SIYAH 2.6.6i
CHECKROM REVOHD V4

I've just noticed a big problem on 2.6.6i for me.
It fails to go into MTP mode. It charges fine, but no MTP.
It works if it boots with the USB cable connected, but not if you connect after boot.

initially i thought it was my u/v settings, but 2.6.6i fails with stock voltages.
It may be my crappy PC at work, so I'll test this out on my laptop when I get home.

Back on 2.6.6 now. Works fine on this.

Seems like this MTP connection is an issue.
Just been testing 2.6.7 for Gokhan, but unfortunately I get the problem as per 2.6.6i.

I will keep you posted on developments.

EDIT:
After 4 test versions, MTP now working on v2.6.7
What a clever fellow this Gokhan is!

I wonder if I will get a mention in his changelogs!
:D

I would if I was gokhanmoral... it would be someone else to blame! :p

It's weird, I'm not getting your problem. It's you being awkward again isn't it?

So far, I'm loving v2.6.6i (revised version). Working really great on all fronts for me so far.

2.6.6 had no problem with me at all in this regard, so yes it was a strange one indeed butty.
Gokhan wasn't getting it on his neither, hence the version download ping-pong match we had. :)

To be honest, I've found 2.6.6 onwards to be the best kernels yet.
It will have to be a damn good NEAK 1.3+ to get me off this one.
oh, and I'm on 2.6.7 by the way!!!!
:)

I think I might have seen it, or at least a variation. I had Kies installed although I've never used it, and twice recently after transferring files via USB and Explorer I was unable to disconnect the device at the PC end due to adb.exe running. Now, as I hadn't been using adb, and it has nothing to do with normal USB connections, I presumed it was due to Kies being a prat so I uninstalled it. Maybe it wasn't after all.... no loss anyway.

Massive battery drain and wake locks on 2.6.6i

Still laggy for me at times like now, delays on opening applications. Also seems to want to stick at 800 Mhz??

But I see there are two version now, and I am flashing to the 2nd one has hawker pointed out a few posts up.

Now then hawker... nobody likes a show-off... I'll swop you a Snickers Bar for it though! :D

Seriously liking this v2.6.6i (revised version). No FC's. No SOD's. Heaviest u/v ever on a kernel.

You're right, simone's really going to have to pull something out of the hat with NEAK to beat this sucker.

And now that neak 1.3.1 is going to be delayed for another day or so it will give me more time to enjoy 2.6.7! :D

Do they let you use mobile phones in hospital X-ray departments then?

OK... a Snickers Bar and a packet of gum... final offer.

Just read about N.E.A.K. being delayed a day or two. So, the weekend then.

Got dreadfully confused on the N.E.A.K. thread just now as gokhanmoral was posting on it.

Any noticeable differences so far with v2.6.7 over 2.6.6/i?

(I think that Shotgun84 is accusing you of gloating... as if  )

It's just as ultra smooth as 2.6.6I for me with the added bonus of my mtp connection now works perfectly. :)
I've stuck to default scheduler/governor for now (sio/ondemand) with min/max 100/1200.
U/v all steps by 50, with 75 u/v on step 100.

All seems to be belting along very smoothly indeed.

2nd version (that I was unaware of) working much better, lag gone.

Do you guys know if this kernel will work with CM9? Or will work only start on a compatible version once CM9 is released?
